Wouldn't AI be forced to stop in its tracks. Facebook used 2.6 million KWh hours of electricity when developing their new LLaMA models. What if much like SaaS platforms, AI models take over. Its predicted that 50% of world's energy would be used to train AI models by 2050. Isn't that insane?
