Under the Basic Conditions of Employment Act, it is mandatory for employers to supply employees with written particulars concerning their workplace location(s). While there is room for employers to adapt work practices and redistribute human resources, such as through transfers, the necessity for equitable treatment and prior consultation during these alterations is paramount. If an employee is moved to a site not mentioned in the initial written details without consultation, it could precipitate disputes under sections 64(4) and 186(1)(e) of the Labour Relations Act. #employmentlaw #workplacerights #humanresources
