There’s no doubt that #PhysicalTherapists are superheroes who walk the halls of our schools. When we asked a couple of the PTs who partner with PTS what they feel is the most important part about what they do for students, here’s what they said: ✅Promoting a student’s participation. ✅Flexibility and support with kids and teachers and specialists to allow everyone to get what they need done and what you need done. ✅Facilitating access to a student’s educational environment. ✅Being the bridge between the student’s medical history and school team and translating that into functional mobility goals. ✅Training and educating staff and aides and providing the right equipment for the student to learn and grow. PROGRAM LEARNING OUTCOME 1: Apply knowledge of the physical, social, and behavioral sciences in the provision of nursing care based on theory, and evidence-based practice. We have applied this in many ways throughout research integrating evidence-based practice throughout analyzing different topics in the medical field as well as applying our knowledge when analyzing these articles.

As per LMSA West Chapter “In recent years, undergraduate institutions have increasingly accepted undocumented and DACA students, but graduate programs have not followed suit. Currently, only 4.5% of US medical schools accept DACA recipients and undocumented individuals. Consequently, there is not much information about resources available in medical school and residency to support DACA recipients and undocumented students. Our mission is to unpack the medical school journey for DACA recipients and undocumented individuals, with a focus on post-medical school opportunities and current areas for advocacy. In preparation for my Final Practicum Presentation, I found this relatable: 📄 The Life of a Nursing Student: Documentation vs. DNP Paper 🎓 👩⚕️ How I Document a Patient Fall: "Patient A.B., a 72-year-old female with a history of falls, ambulated to the bedside unassisted; per the patient, she tripped and fell. No visible injuries, mild pain to right hip." 📚 How I Write My DNP Paper: "In this scholarly exploration, it is pertinent to elucidate the incident involving Ms. A.B., a septuagenarian female with a recurrent propensity for gravitational challenges (A.B., 72, personal communication, November 2023). Upon engaging in an unaided perambulation towards her bedside, Ms. A.B. experienced an unforeseen descent to the terrestrial plane, resulting in minimal physical manifestations but a reported discomfort localized in the right coxal region (A.B., 72, personal communication, November 2023)."
