Filet Mignon with Rich Balsamic Glaze What you'll need: Two filet mignon steaks Salt and pepper Balsamic vinegar A dry red wine, such as cabernet sauvignon Directions: 1️⃣ Season the steaks: Sprinkle the filet mignon steaks with salt and pepper. 2️⃣ Sear the steaks: Sear the steaks in a very hot pan until they're browned on both sides. 3️⃣ Make the sauce: Reduce the heat to medium-low, then add the vinegar and wine. Cover and cook for about four minutes. Flip the steaks, baste them with the sauce, and continue cooking for about four more minutes. 4️⃣ Serve the steaks: Place the steaks on two warmed plates. Spoon the sauce over the meat and serve immediately.

I went to a restaurant last week and ordered Thai red curry and rice. The server came back 10 minutes later and placed some red curry paste, coconut milk, tofu, carrots, red bell pepper, galanga, kaffir leaves, basil leaves, fish sauce, brown sugar, green chili, cilantro, and rice grains. I was confused. "Aren't you a restaurant?" "Yes ma'am" "You want me to dine in here?" "Yes ma'am" "I am confused. Why did you give me the ingredients? I am only interested in the prepared dish. If I wanted ingredients, I would have gone to the market myself. "But, I grew these vegetables myself." If you are an individual or a university, interested in commercialization of your patent, then read the above again. You are the restaurant, and the customer is the industry. To expect companies to buy your patent is the same as the restaurant expecting the diner to pay for the ingredients because the restaurant grew it themselves. You think your patent should be picked off the shelf because it is amazing. I am sure it is. But a company is not going to take the risk unless you have studies, GTM of some form, and some traction. Eggs Benedict - a real treat (and easy) for your Sunday morning. Try it this Sunday or Saturday or Wednesday 😉. Take two halves of English muffin and toast so they're crispy. Add well done smoked bacon / ham, two soft poached eggs and top with a tablespoon or two of silky, warm hollandaise sauce. Don't be afraid to make your own Hollandaise sauce - it's easy and delicious. Warm 2 egg yolks over a moderate heat bain marie and slowly add an equivalent of half again of warmed, clarified butter and mix continuously. Add small amounts of salt, white wine vinegar and lemon juice to taste. . Garnish with warm tomato slices, rocket, paprika to taste. Voila. Deliciously balanced. Sit back. Admire, inhale, taste and enjoy. Tip! What is the most common error in hollandaise sauce? If the heat is too high, the egg yolks will scramble and the sauce will become lumpy.
