Critical Care Medicine is a specialized field dedicated to intensive care for patients with life-threatening conditions. ICU is its focal point, providing specialized attention and monitoring to acutely ill or post-surgery patients. A multidisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, and therapists, collaborates to stabilize and treat those facing severe illnesses, infections, or surgical complications. 🏥🩺 Advanced technology, like mechanical ventilation, ensures precise care. The expert staff makes life-saving decisions, administers medications, and adjusts treatments for optimal outcomes. 💡💊 In essence, critical care medicine serves as a lifeline, working tirelessly to save lives and guide patients toward recovery. 🌟👩⚕️👨⚕️ Find expert advice, consultation, care & cure at Continental Hospitals, Visit us, Call us on 040 67000 000 or Click below for more information https://lnkd.in/dTv97CAq #icu #intensivecare #criticalcare #lifesupport #icunurse #icuphysician #medicalintervention #icustay #icurecovery #icuheroes #patientcare #emergencymedicine #hospitallife #monitoringpatients #icujourney #icuequipment #criticalcareteam #savelives

Explore “Advancing Infusion Therapy Practices: Prioritizing Patient Experience and Safety” with Marlene Steinheiser, PhD, RN, CRNI, Infusion Nurses Society, at the 2024 NICA Annual Conference at the MGM Grand, Las Vegas, June 21-22. Register now at bit.ly/NICA2024 Because intravenous (IV) administration of medications and solutions is invasive and risky, it is critical to ensure that clinicians are applying evidence-based best practices as they advocate for safe patient care. One of the most commonly used vascular access devices, the peripheral intravenous catheter (PIVC), can lead to insertion and post-insertion complications. Insertion and management of PIVCs requires knowledge, skill, and clinical judgment to ensure positive patient outcomes, but current literature describes a gap in education, lack of consistent evidence-based practice, lack of adherence to policies and procedures, and the need for data collection to improve care of patients with PIVCs. In this session, we will discuss current INS Standards related to PIVCs, including the basics of PIVC selection, insertion, care, and management, learn from patient case studies, hear a patient’s story of self-advocacy, describe how the development of a PIVC consensus statement and health equity research can benefit patient outcomes and how to begin your own quality improvement project. #NICA2024 #infusionprovider #medicalprovider #infusion #infusioncenter #infusionnurse #infusiondeliverychannel #medicalinfusionprovider

This is sure to be a great webinar focused on different cannula and interface types and what pressures vs flows they actually provide.
Join Pressure Clinical Nurse Specialist Dr. Anna Kidman, BSc, MNurs, CNS, PhD, for our webinar, Pressure Interface Choice Matters, on Tuesday, April 30, as we take a deep dive into delivering respiratory support to our most vulnerable of patients. Dr. Kidman will explore optimization of interface types between pressure-controlled and flow-controlled respiratory support devices. She will also differentiate common respiratory pathologies that require noninvasive respiratory support in neonatal care. Register for one of two free events. Morning session: 9am PDT / 11am CDT / 12pm EDT https://lnkd.in/esxsFuQz Afternoon session (recorded): 1pm PDT / 3pm CDT / 4pm EDT https://lnkd.in/euvJTDvj
