Many thanks to #LUSH and #Ethical consumer for this recognition of the work done in standardization to replace the animal in the biocompatibility of medical devices. This is not the most visible part of NAMs, but it is essential for their regulatory acceptance. This award will enable to progress on the pre-qualification of the Epi2SensA method for skin sensitization of medical devices according to ISO TS 11796, then to organize under the umbrella of the ISO/TC-194/WG8 the first multicenter study for the 2 to 3 most advanced in vitro methods.
The winner of the Lush Prize 2024 for Lobbying, worth £50,000, was the ISO working group ISO/TC-194/WG8 for their important work on building the consensus for regulatory acceptance of NAMs for medical devices. Thanks to Christian Pellevoisin, PhD, ERT for coming to London to receive the award on behalf of the working group.

Félicitations Christian!! C'est une super nouvelle pour l'ISO/TC-194/WG8, j'espère que des progrès pourront être faits pour l'acceptance règlementaire des méthodes alternatives pour les DM.
