Last month, I visited Poland, Germany, and Spain and had the opportunity to witness firsthand the incredible progress these EU markets are making towards Philip Morris International’s #smokefree vision. 🙌 Joined by Jacek Olczak, Christos Harpantidis, Massimo Andolina and Werner Barth, we had in-depth discussions on the current landscape and the strides we've made in each country of this region.   The smoke-free category in Europe has shown a positive trajectory since 2020, with market share surpassing 10% in Q1 ’24. This region is opening up more to smoke-free alternatives, reflecting a shift in consumer preferences and thus leading to a successful expansion of this category. In fact, in Q1 ’24, our net revenue from smoke-free products in Europe accounted for more than 40% of PMI’s total smoke-free business.   While progress has been made, our journey is far from over.
