Leadership Coach - PCC ICF II EQ Assessor MHS US II OD Facilitator ODCP TISS/ODA II Author- 'The Penta Life' II Keynote Speaker
Smaller than a Corn of Rice, Greater than the Sky: The Magic of Securing Your ‘Self’ Securing your ‘Self’ will mean that you are relating and responding to your own being. This then leads to ensuring ‘The Self Life’ which is the most important among all your five lives. ‘The Self Life’ is actually the first life for each one of us. I would say, “The real magic begins when you decide to be yourself…..” Securing our Self and ensuring ‘The Self Life’ can have such beneficial effects on you in so many ways: ❤️Self-connect deepens your connection with all others. ❤️Self-love helps you be truly loving for all around us. ❤️Self-care gives good mental and emotional health. When Self-connect, Self-love, and Self-care are in place, the results will also be in terms of: ✅Self-esteem, which builds respect for own values and value. ✅Self-respect, which gives courage and confidence. ✅Self-confidence, which creates positivity. All that and more is possible for a good ‘Self Life’ — When there is a consciousness of your inner being, when you are in ‘I being’ mode. The revered Chandogya Upanishad captures ‘The Self’ so very well: “He is my ‘self’ within the heart, smaller than a corn of rice, smaller than a corn of barley, smaller than a mustard seed, smaller than a canary seed, or the kernel of a canary seed. He also is my ‘self’ within the heart, greater than the earth, greater than the sky, greater than heaven, greater than all these worlds.” I would conclude by saying, “The real magic begins when you decide to be yourself because then you are at your finest and the most magnificent.” And you can secure your ‘Self’ and attain your ‘Self Life’ by consciously moving from ‘I Doing’ mode into the ‘I Being’ mode. My book, The Penta Life 📘presents you the way. — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — (You can buy #ThePentaLife on the links provided in the comments below) #life #happiness #wellbeing #wellness #fufilment #mentalhealth #emotionalwellbeing #lifeandhealth

Happiness isn't just a fleeting moment; it's a vital part of your well-being. 😌🌿 When you prioritise joy and contentment in your life, you're nurturing your mental and emotional health. Find happiness in the little things, like a serene walk in nature or a warm cup of tea, and let it be the foundation of your healthiest self. True well-being blooms from the seeds of happiness we plant in our daily lives. 🌸 Embrace the philosophy that joy is a natural remedy, one that enriches our lives from the inside out. Cultivate it by cherishing the simple moments, like the serene beauty of nature or the warmth of friendship. Happiness fortifies our resilience, fuels our creativity, and fosters a sense of gratitude. Let's make a conscious effort to recognise and savour these moments, building a resilient foundation for our mental and emotional health. #CultivatingJoy #ResilientHappiness #HappinessIsHealth #PositiveLiving #annabarwickcoaching

Due to your brain's natural negativity bias, it is easy for most of us to take for granted the good things in our lives and overfocus on what is not working. This can make your life even more miserable. One of the best predictors of wellbeing is gratitude because it forces your brain to remember what is good. Pause scrolling. Take a few deep breaths and ask yourself, what is going right with my life? What are some of the positive experiences that I have had? And remember, don't go for the big ones necessarily. It could be that you are grateful for a good night's sleep or a nice cup of coffee or sunlight. Sometimes, the small things have the biggest impact. #gratitude #mentalhealth #myafyaafrica
