The 3rd of our case study series on cross-organisation Population and Person Insight (PaPI) and National Segmentation dataset work. In this case, how a Senior Strategy Advisor in NHSE’s Strategy Directorate used the PaPI dashboard to better understand the health and care needs of older people, with data presented to the Board and published in NHS planning guidance, also feeding into the Proactive Care framework. To quote “We looked at the PaPI dashboard as it was really helpful to be able to see the data broken down by different age groups. There was summarised information around both activity and spend that doesn't really exist anywhere else as far as I'm aware” Read more here https://lnkd.in/ew4FG9Fc. Thanks from me to superstars Michelle Vogelzang and Cecilia Lungu for support on this. Also, all of you 🙌 for sharing your stories. Today, let's take a moment to honor Florence Nightingale, not just for her nursing legacy, but also as one of the earliest data analysts in history. Back in the 19th century, Nightingale did something remarkable - she carefully studied and made sense of a lot of medical data. But what really set her apart was how she used creative charts and diagrams to show the data in a way that everyone could understand. One of her greatest creations was the "coxcomb" diagram, a special chart that helped people see the reasons for deaths and how important hygiene was in saving lives. By turning complicated data into easy-to-understand visuals, Nightingale influenced health policies and made hospitals much better. Her data-driven approach saved countless lives and brought positive changes to healthcare. Her passion for evidence and making data meaningful continues to inspire us in our own data adventures. #FlorenceNightingale #DataAnalysis #History #Innovation #DataVisualization
