My name is Deputy Board. I work for Chester County Sheriff Office. I'm on our directed patrol unit, and I'm assigned a canine. This is Canine Loretta. She's one year and a half old and she's with me every day as my partner. The train is important on these dogs, they do everything to help us out. A great tool and an asset to the agency. To train and leads to finding bad guys or that missing person that loved one whole check in there girl ohh what you got in there. They can lock in on a sit and stay on that specific scent of that human. We can do something simple as sitting off of the driver seat on a suspect on that flees from a vehicle from law enforcement or that missing person. We can take something like a pillowcase and use that scent and lock in on that missing person. And they'll stay on that scent and content to it and drive that scent until they located the source of that sent that they've been given to. It's all about praising up your dog and reading your dog to know what your dog is telling you. Might can't speak English, but the dog will talk back to you whether it barks or whether it looks a certain way or certain demeanors. Ohh yeah. That dog is playing hide and go seek with that person is looking for, and he's trying to seek him once it finds it, just like a kid to be happy that somebody found you out in the woods or behind a building or anything like that. Dog is just ultimately used to find that source by any means necessary because it makes them happy and it makes us happy.
