Big News: EQT and Kühne Holding Acquire 35% Stake in Flix! We are absolutely thrilled to share that EQT Future and Kühne Holding have acquired a 35% stake in our portfolio company, Flix! This is a huge milestone for Flix, one that brings in strategic investors who will empower them with industry-leading knowledge and expertise, strengthening their balance sheet and supporting their ambitious growth plans. We have been a proud partner since day one. When we first met the Flix team at their small offices in Munich, before the first green bus ever hit the streets, we knew they were onto something huge. We believed in them and believed that they were building something that would change the way we travel, and that’s exactly what they did. Nowadays, you can’t hit the road anywhere in Europe without seeing one of their iconic green buses, and this latest investment is a clear vote of confidence as Flix looks to expand further in North America and beyond the 43 countries it now operates in. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to André Schwämmlein, Jochen Engert, Daniel Krauss, and the entire Flix team for reaching this significant milestone. We look forward to supporting Flix as they continue to revolutionize the mobility industry. More evidence, as I said recently, that #mobility will continue to suck and players will continue to merge hoping that scale will fix things (it won't) - but short term you can acquire companies for esentially what the assets are worth.
🚨 Breaking News: Not Bolt or Voi Technology and TIER Mobility are merging as rumoured last year - it's Dott and TIER Mobility! The companies have entered into a preliminary agreement merge both companies. 👉 A merged network is covering around 365 cities and municipalities around across Europe. Dott is strong in Italy🇮🇹, France 🇫🇷 and Belgium 🇧🇪. Both players have an overlap in around 45 % of the Dott cities. 👉 The combined company is apparently valued at € 150 million according to manager magazin. This is way below the past valuations and way below the capital that both entities raised 🤑. 👉 The merger follows the consolidation wave - Bird filed for chapter 11 in December, Superpedestrian ended the services in the U.S. at the end of 2023 and is auctioning the scooters 🛴. 👉 The deal is backed by investors, € 60 million 💰 addition funding is provided. Let's hope this is enough to restructure the companies towards a sustainable setup with higher gross margins and lower R&D, G&A and marketing spending. 👉 Henri Moissinac will take over the CEO role, Tier founder Lawrence Leuschner will become the chairman of the merged company. It's expected that the deal will close within 2 month from now, right before the hot season. 👉 Let's see what what will happen next. Voi Technology would need a solution, let's see if there will be a strategy reset of micro mobility at Bolt. #micromobility #sharedmobility #scooter

🚀 Insights on Shared E-Scooter Services in European Cities 🚀 A study by Deloitte, commissioned by Bolt, analyzing e-scooter regulations in 155 cities across Europe, highlights the diverse regulatory models and their varying impacts. Key takeaways: 1. Light Regulation (open markets) and Medium Regulation (authorization regimes) often provide sufficient control while being cost-effective. 2. Stricter regulations can lead to higher costs for cities and users, reducing the adoption of micro mobility services. 3. Cities with 3-4 operators see the highest usage rates, promoting better service and competition. 🔎 Understanding the local regulatory landscape is crucial. For operators, flexible and well-informed strategies can help navigate these regulations. I'll be attending the Micromobility Industries Europe event on June 5-6 and look forward to meet-up and discuss these insights. 🤝 Feel free to reach out if you'll be attending Micromobility Europe too! It's always good news when big corporations partner with startups, and even more so when the startup is part of our portfolio. As an example, eco.mio, which has signed a strategic partnership with German rail operator Deutsche Bahn. This collaboration encourages business travelers to choose trains over planes by offering an extra 100 BahnBonus points for every train journey taken. What does this mean? ✔ More rewards: Earn BahnBonus points that can be redeemed for class upgrades, free meals, and even free train rides. ✔ Sustainable travel: Contribute to reducing CO2 emissions and support sustainability. ✔ Easy and accessible: Eco.mio’s integration with online booking tools makes it simple to make greener travel choices. Consulting firm Roland Berger is the first to join the pilot program, aiming to reduce their business travel emissions by 40% per capita within 4 years. Katharina Riederer, CEO of Eco.Mio, is pleased with the results of the pilot program and plans to continue expanding their offer to more clients. 🔴 We’re proud to support initiatives that promote a more sustainable future. Congratulations to eco.mio on this significant step forward! #Sustainability #Innovation #CorporateTravel #Investments #EcoMio #DeutscheBahn #SustainableTravel #ZeroEmissions #SmartInvesting #GreenFuture

2wJust a shame how far South the quality of your service has gone. And plenty of the buses look nowhere near like the one in the picture coupled with plenty rough and ready drivers. Get back on course!
