***TRIGGER WARNING: This post may provoke skepticism and is not recommended for those not ready to think differently.*** The only thing between you and your dreams is you. We often get so hung up on the what, where, when and how that we forget about the WHY. The WORTHY: Rally for Hope & Kindness concept came to my amazing friend Andrea Sanchez in a dream 3 years ago. Since then, she's held 37 online rallies and 1 in-person event (that's incredible!). In 22 days, she will be holding her 2nd in-person event and has had 1 million reasons to not keep going through with it. However, she reminds herself today of her WHY: Kindness needs to be the norm. We need to make it contagious so people can truly live as themselves without fear of judgment, retaliation or exclusion. If she doesn't do her part, then who will in her place? Last year we inspired Houston (see below). This year we are spreading our wings to NYC on 11/11. For those who dare come along with Andrea, she promises you you're in for a ride that will change your #mindset and make you believe that dreams really can come true. Join the movement - show up to help us create a kinder world one #community at a time. Tickets are Going Fast - Register today at https://lnkd.in/eS_NtYxv #gratitude #kindness #believe #NYC #rally #positivity #compassion #impact #courage #DareToBe #dreams

Here are some words of future manifestation for my LI community: I'm very proud to be an American. I'm also proud to be an Asian and BIPOC founder. I'm proud to be a person of Christian faith, in a country and sometimes industry that doesn't seem to value that. I'm proud to be an Eagle Scout, arguably one of the most American institutions currently in existence - from a 99% Asian scout troop in Los Angeles. It's possible to be BIPOC, faith-driven, sell to retailers that sell guns - and others that don't, and be fully American, fully Asian, fully outdoor, fully coffee, fully grocery, and bring it together to build a PROFITABLE and sustained growth business. If Bear Grylls - Bear Grylls Ventures - can pray on-air for Obama in the outdoors, Jeff Wiguna - Kuju Coffee - can bring these things to life. And bring these things to life, we shall as The Original Camp Coffee™. More is coming. And it's not just more - it's better! (Getting the song right sometimes helps more than turning up the volume, and sometimes it’s easier to turn the volume up anyway…. But, anyone know that song, Blackbird?) #theoriginalcampcoffee #kujumoment

My kids are part of the 1 million youth who are in Scouting America. Today is our Blue & Gold Celebration and I am reflecting on what my family has gained from participating. This wouldn't have been possible without Scouts BSA evolving to become a more inclusive organization, which pre-empted the name change to Scouting America. This Forbes article describes some of what the brand is getting right. Speaking as a den leader and Scout parent, I agree. #ScoutMeIn https://lnkd.in/gz6Rqfew

Did you know today, May 9, is National Lost Sock Memorial Day? 🧦 Today, we honor those lone warriors who bravely ventured into the dark abyss of the dryer and never returned. 🕳️ Let's take a moment to remember all the socks who've gone missing in action, leaving their partners to wander the world alone. 🌍 Whether they vanished into thin air or found a new home in Narnia, their absence is felt in every mismatched pair. 🧦 #LostSockMemorialDay #LostSock #HRProfessional #TalentAcquisition #Recruiter

Pins have always meant something special to me. More than just accessories, they represent the causes and movements that matter. I still have pins from campaigns, rallies, and community events over the years – reminders of the progress made thanks to those that shoulder up and stand together. I also grew up admiring historical pins for the causes that still resonate. Recently, I started thinking about pins differently. What if a pin could symbolize a personal quest? A personal journey towards finding purpose in all areas of life? Just like rally pins brought together people pursuing change, a personal pin could attract stories, opportunities and connections aligned with our deepest goals. In the end, pins unite people behind common causes. And what's more powerful than the collective and shared pursuit of purpose? Especially in this town. 💌 Mount Purpose.

This video almost had me in tears. How dare anyone or any society give girls the impression they are less. One of the reasons I love being a Firefighter is to extinguish this ‘Dream Gap’. Not just for little girls, but also to show little boys that girls can do anything. Changing the narrative must start young. Last year I went to an incident where I was the only female firefighter on scene with four trucks (and about 20 men). Some members of the public gathered nearby, drawn by the flashing lights and hive of activity. There was a little girl, perhaps 5, standing by watching us intently with her mother, who was telling her “look at all the firemen!” I wanted this little girl to see that one day, she could be me. I said hello and explained what we were doing and invited her to ask questions. Her eyes lit up, she smiled and said excitedly - ‘Mummy, mummy - it’s a girl firefighter, I can be one too!’ The profound deeper meaning of her words was a moment I will never forget. This is the reason why I love community events. Driving the trucks. Speaking with bystanders. We are firefighters, not firemen. If I’ve inspired even one little girl to challenge that #DreamGap and reach for the stars, then I think I’ve accomplished something good in life. #firefighter #countryfireauthority #CFA #volunteer #volunteering #volunteerfirefighter #equity #barbie #dreamgap #dreamgapproject #genderequity #genderbias #unconsciousbias
