I love to start the day with a good case study on systems change. Good insight from Ilifa Labantwana on reframing ECD service provision. #systemschangepractitioners #earlychildhooddevelopment

Researchers from NYU Global TIES for Children and the Universidad de Los Andes sought to identify the strengths, challenges, and gaps within the Peruvian and Colombian monitoring and evaluation systems for holistic educational outcomes. Two new diagnostic reports showcase their creation of the holistic learning outcome assessment systems (HOLAS) framework in Colombia and Peru. With a focus on equity and fairness for children, these reports contain actionable strategies for policymakers, researchers, and front-line providers. Human Trafficking continues to be one of the World's Fastest Growing Criminal Industry. Thank you, John Hopkins University for allowing me to share best practices from regulatory development within Blockchain-based finance that can be seen as an opportunity to combat Human Trafficking. Learnings: 1. Different types of crime - same problems: We are working in silos; policymakers are aware of the challenge but do not know how to react effectively. 2. Cases are being investigated separately but are usually a part of organized crime that might be overseen. 3. Lack of complex international legislation, sufficient funding, and access to hands-on tools to understand, detect, and take actions to combat the development early on. Like weaving different threads together creates a unique fabric, combining unrelated ideas leads to innovation. Technology is a challenge but could be a part of the solution; many tools could assist with the progress of Blockchain-based finance and AI-based technology. Thank you for inviting me Dr. Alexandra Andhov. Leading the session Sara Pennicino, Alexandra and joining me to provide lasting impact Lorenzo Rilasciati. GUARDIA DI FINANZA

Wonderful seminar organized last night by the Human Trafficking Initiative and Bipr (https://lnkd.in/d47dgWP5). The two excellent speakers, Dr. Alexandra Andhov and Michal Gromek, were introduced and moderated by Sara Pennicino and Alexandra Malangone. I have to say that it is an honour to be on HTI’s scientific committee together with Obiora Okafor and Michael Plummer.
