On Monday, we joined together with members of our Chapa-De team, Board of Directors, construction partners Dreyfuss Blackford Architecture and JAX Construction, and members of our sponsoring tribe, the United Auburn Indian Community. We gathered at the future site of our new health center in south Placer County to thank and acknowledge the profound gift the land provides us to create a space of healing.  A land blessing was offered by Alan Wallace (Washoe/Maidu). His words, offered partially in the Nisenan language, noted the journey Chapa-De Indian Health has taken in the 50 years since it was established in 1974 and its impact on those it has served. We thank him and all who joined us on this day as we begin the next chapter in community healing as an organization.  We will begin construction in the summer with plans to open doors for the community in 2026.  𝘞𝘦 𝘢𝘤𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸𝘭𝘦𝘥𝘨𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘸𝘦 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘰𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘥𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘕𝘪𝘴𝘦𝘯𝘢𝘯, 𝘔𝘪𝘸𝘰𝘬 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘔𝘢𝘪𝘥𝘶, 𝘱𝘢𝘴𝘵 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘦𝘯𝘵, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘩𝘰𝘯𝘰𝘳 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘨𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘵𝘶𝘥𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘪𝘵𝘴𝘦𝘭𝘧 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘕𝘪𝘴𝘦𝘯𝘢𝘯, 𝘔𝘪𝘸𝘰𝘬 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘔𝘢𝘪𝘥𝘶 𝘱𝘦𝘰𝘱𝘭𝘦.    #ChapaDe #CommunityHealth #IndianHealth
