Their unique storytelling and TOV. Their brand. Creators are a BRAND. Remember that. So what do you do about it? How can you assure you’re working with the right creators and maximize performance? 1) First things first, you need the right filters and partner in play to hand select the right creators for you. 2) Next? Here’s why I think creators are important and key to the future of businesses. This has already been made quite visible as creators like Kim Kardashian, The Rock, Mr. Beast are obvious mainstream examples. But this works at much smaller scales, too and with educational creators too, not just “entertainers” 1) People love and resonate with other people. 2) Creators develop influence by being authentic and developing a connection with their audience (consumer trust) 3) They then can take that consumer trust (which is essentially brand equity on their “personal balance sheet”) and transfer it into something 4) That something can be a product they own or promote (ideally they own it) 5) This shows up as low customer acquisition costs on the financials for that product (as normally you need to spend $$$ to get customers) 6) It also shows up as higher product satisfaction/NPS as people already “like” the person there’s more “room for error” on product quality For me, I’m mostly looking at knowledge workers / expert creators, so that’s where these insights are from. OK, in our experience as creators, starting something you imagine is typically the first difficult challenge of the success equation.
