Are you a job seeker or a job hunter?
Is there a difference? 🤷♂️
If you have your #opentowork feature activated, you have two options 👇
Under your preferred start date, you have:
⚪ Immediately, I am actively applying
⚪ Flexible, I am casually looking
If you have the latter mindset, you probably have an eye on the job alerts that you are sent to you from the sites where your CV is uploaded.
You may have fired off a few applications a month over the last 3 months
You may have attended a few interviews...
I hear terms like "I'll 'float' my CV out there and see what happens"!
It feels a bit passive though, a bit too casual.
Or do you have purpose, a clear strategy, maybe even a deadline?
Of course, there are some reasons why a deadline is important, some scarier than others.
The first #opentowork option - 'actively applying' - does suggest a higher degree of motivation 🏃♀️
A job search [or job hunt] is filled with variables!
You could be in the right place at the right time, resulting in a search that lasts only a few weeks, or days.
You could spend 3 months submitting quality, tailored applications to dozens of roles with only a few invitations to interview to show for it.
Job hunting results can sometimes be fickle!
...but which approach would you say is likely to yield the best results?
I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that my hunter-friend below doesn't rely on his dinner walking out of the bushes into his path.
So, if you're #opentowork, are you pursuing your next role casually, or with determination?
