We were proud to sponsor the 2024 #TrueNorth Business Development Forum hosted by the Prince George Chamber of Commerce and Lheidli T'enneh Nation. The event, held on June 11th at the House of Ancestors Conference Center in Prince George, focused on navigating reconciliation, diversity, and innovation in business in northern BC. During our session, we had the privilege of sharing inspiring stories from Caroline Sam of Nak’azdli Whut’en First Nation and vincent chingee of McLeod Lake Indian Band. They discussed their journeys within our environment department, highlighting their contributions to the construction and operation of our mine. It was a meaningful opportunity to engage in important dialogues and showcase our commitment to Indigenous partnerships and sustainable mining practices. #TrueNorth2024 #MiningIndustry #EnvironmentalStewardship #CommunityEngagement

The 2024 TrueNorth Business Development Forum sounds like an impactful event, especially focusing on reconciliation, diversity, and innovation in northern BC. The industry must participate in such events to foster understanding and build stronger relationships with Indigenous communities. It's great to hear about Caroline Sam of Nak'azdli Whut'en First Nation and Vincent Chingee of McLeod Lake Indian Band's contributions to the mining industry and their journeys within your environment department. These meaningful dialogues highlight Centerra's commitment to the TRC 94.
