Advancing Psychedelic Science, Contemplative Practice, and Traditional Knowledge Systems-- Science, Policy and Practice
When I started this review article with Roland Griffiths back in 2020, it was a mere idea, a vision, meant to appeal to the #globalhealth #community. I’m proud to have co-led this project with esteemed co-authors including Julian Urrutia, Brian Anderson, Sean Belouin, Ann Berger, Charles Grob Jack E. Henningfield, Dr. Larissa J. Maier, Frank Weichold and David Yaden As the article elucidates: We need to use a #decolonized agenda for #psychedelics and #contemplative practice #research engaging stewards of #traditionalknowledge in collaborative ways to co-create evidence-based models of #integrative #healthcare. We need to ensure #equitableAccess, availability, acceptability, #qualitycare to improve effective coverage at the community level in #GlobalHealth. We need to develop integrative interventions using #implementationscience methods for #communityengagement care models coordinated with #healthsystems to improve #mentalhealth, #wellbeing and #human flourishing. We need #traditionalknowledge systems, including #indigenousknowledge experts to guide this effort. We encourage guideline development, #regulatory flexibility on #drugdevelopment globally and nationally to expedite research. #publichealth, #prosocialbehavior, #sustainability, #spirituality Link to article in Journal of Psychoactive Drugs in comments below.

April is National Minority Health Month. (1) Health disparities are differences in how populations access, experience, and receive healthcare. (2) Factors that influence such differences include social, economic, and environmental disadvantages, provider biases, poor provider-patient communication, and low health literacy. (2) Luminology partners with our clients to ensure unbiased and inclusive medical communications through the following practices: ⭐ Promoting increased diversity in clinical trials ⭐ Collaborating with influential programs such as the African American Wellness Project ⭐ Critical review of new data to determine areas of bias ⭐ Crafting project teams with a diverse collection of staff ⭐ Supporting inclusive patient and clinician advisory boards to develop product access solutions #NationalMinorityHealthMonth #Luminology #medcomms References: 1. Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) are essential in today's clinical research. Learn why DEI matters and discover four crucial steps to crafting an FDA-compliant DEI plan: 1. Understanding disease prevalence: Understand disease impact across diverse groups. 2. Designing studies and eligibility: Design studies with DEI principles in mind. 3. Setting enrollment targets: Establish clear targets for underrepresented groups. 4. Developing engagement strategies: Develop comprehensive approaches for diverse participant recruitment. Integrating DEI isn't just a task—it's a collaborative effort to which we at CliniLink Health are committed. We support sponsors in developing a unified strategy that aligns with regulatory standards and embodies a genuine commitment to DEI. 💡Addressing Socioeconomic Challenges in IBD Care. In the pursuit of health equity, it's essential to recognize the socioeconomic challenges that underserved communities face in accessing IBD care. Here are 3 of many such challenges: 1. Delayed Diagnoses: African American and marginalized communities often face delays in IBD diagnosis due to disparities in healthcare access. 2. Access to Therapies: Economic and geographic barriers can limit access to the latest IBD treatments for these populations. 3.
