🚨 Big CDR Deal Alert 🚨 🤝 Lithos Carbon and Microsoft have signed a 3-year agreement on a sale of 11,400 tonnes of CDR. As part of the agreement, Lithos will deliver ex-post and empirically quantified carbon removal, meaning that carbon dioxide removal from the atmosphere has been achieved and has been rigorously quantified. 🚚 Lithos has already delivered 500 tonnes of CDR in December 2023. 🚀 This is Microsoft's third deal in Enhanced Weathering (EW) announced this week together with deals with Eion (8,000 tonnes) and UNDO (15,000 tonnes) 📈 Microsoft has now purchased 28,198 tonnes of CDR in Enhanced Weathering. 8️⃣ Lithos stands at 8th on the CDR.fyi Supplier Leaderboard with over 169,000 tonnes in total sales to date. 🔝 Microsoft continues to top the CDR.fyi Purchaser Leaderboard with over 8.24M tonnes in CDR purchases to date. 🔗 Read the detailed announcement in the comment below.

🚨 Big CDR Deal Alert 🚨 🤝 Eion has signed an agreement to sell 8,000 tonnes of CDR to Microsoft. 🚚 The tonnes will be delivered over 5 years, with olivine set to deployed on farmland in the Mid-Atlantic region after the fall harvest. ✅ Every ton of carbon removed as part of the purchase will be verified through Eion’s patented direct measurement approach, in accordance with third-party standards and verifiers. 🚀 Eion, which delivered its first tonnes to Stripe in November 2023, has now sold over 10,000 tonnes of CDR to date. 📈 This brings Eion to #37 (of total tonnes sold) on the CDR.fyi Suppliers Leaderboard. 🔝 Microsoft continues to top the CDR.fyi Purchaser Leaderboard with 8.24 million tonnes purchased to date. 🔗 Read the full announcement in the comments below.

🚨 Big Follow-On Deal Alert 🤝 UNDO has signed a follow-on agreement to sell 15,000 tonnes of CDR credits to Microsoft. ⬆ This is UNDO's biggest CDR deal to date. 🇨🇦 UNDO has chosen mining partner Canadian Wollastonite for its fast-weathering feedstock of wollastonite. 🚜 65,000 tonnes of crushed silicate rock will be spread in the UK and Canada. 🔬 Funds from this deal will help set up field trials and monitoring sites in both countries. 📈 UNDO now moves up to 20th in the CDR Suppliers leaderboard with over 43,000 tonnes sold to date. 🔝 Microsoft continues to top the CDR.fyi Purchaser Leaderboard with 8.22 million tonnes purchased to date. 🔗 To learn more, read the full announcement in the comments below.

🚨 Large CDR Deal Alert 🚨 🤝 Frontier has announced a $25.4 million offtake agreement with CarbonRun for 55,442 tons of CDR, a first via River Alkalinity Enhancement. 🚚 The tonnes will be removed between 2025 and 2029 from multiple sites, starting with deployments in Nova Scotia, Canada. 📈 Frontier has now purchased over 500,000 tonnes of CDR. 🆕 At 19th, CarbonRun is the latest entrant to Top 20 on the CDR.fyi Supplier Leaderboard. 2️⃣ Frontier continues its No.2 standing on the CDR.fyi Purchaser Leaderboard. 🧪 Stripe is making an additional $1M R&D grant for CarbonRun to better understand the ecosystem benefits and carbon removal potential of RAE. 💡 Frontier is also making publicly available CarbonRun's Community Benefits Plan and Resources for Buyers of mCDR. 🔗 Read the full announcement and links to resources in the comments below.
