Cheering students on in the world of banking! | University Recruiting Coordinator @ First Financial Bank
I ❤️ my job I often think back to my first job as a hostess at Texas Roadhouse. Standing at the host stand, I learned invaluable lessons that I still carry with me today. Every job is valuable!!!! You are always learning things that you will take with you to your next job. Here are some of mine from Roadhouse. ➡ Creating a positive environment Whether at work or in personal interactions, Texas Roadhouse taught me the importance of being warm and welcoming to everyone who walked through the doors ➡ Starting conversations with strangers I grew my skills in networking, ensuring that even a brief 5-10 second interaction could brighten someone's day. Still something I am striving to work on and improve to this day. ➡ Upselling There were always fun promotions and competitions. Upselling is definitely a skill that has proven useful in various professional settings. One memory that stands out is the back of our work shirts, with the words, “I love my job.” While I didn’t love every aspect of the job—sweeping mounds of peanut shells at the end of the night wasn’t my favorite—the shirt served as a constant reminder to approach work with positivity. When you show your customers that you love your job, they are more likely to love your company too. And let’s not forget those irresistible Texas Roadhouse rolls! Indulging in them during shifts was a perk, although our waistlines might have a different opinion. #firstjob #customerservice #careerlessons #positivityinwork

Providing a range of cleaning services to domestic and commercial clients in the North Tyneside area | Director at C.E Cleaning
🌟 Embracing Change and Building Dreams: My Journey 🌟 Reflecting on my career journey always fills me with gratitude and a sense of wonder at life's twists and turns. It all started in the dynamic world of retail, where I honed my skills and passion for customer service. My time at Marks And Spencers was truly transformative, as I navigated various roles - from managing the bustling cafe to overseeing cash operations and delving into the intricate world of HR. Along the way, I had the privilege of meeting extraordinary individuals who left a lasting impact on me. However, life had an unexpected turn with the arrival of my first bundle of joy, Charlotte. Parenthood reshaped my priorities, prompting me to seek a more fulfilling balance between work and family. With the arrival of my second child, Ellie, and my husband's job taking him away often, I found myself juggling multiple hats with grace and determination. Amidst these changes, an opportunity arose to join my auntie's cleaning company, a business she had nurtured for over two decades. For nearly four years, I immersed myself in this venture, learning the ins and outs of the cleaning industry while cherishing the flexibility it offered. Then came the pivotal moment - the decision to embark on my own entrepreneurial journey. Two and a half years ago, I took the leap of faith to establish my own cleaning company, C.E Cleaning, here in our beloved North Shields. The path hasn't always been smooth, but every challenge has been met with resilience and unwavering dedication. Today, as I reflect on this journey, I'm filled with gratitude for the opportunities, the lessons learned, and the incredible people who have supported me along the way. Indeed, life is full of surprises, and I've come to realize that embracing change is the key to unlocking our true potential. I wouldn't trade this journey for anything in the world, for it has led me to where I am today - pursuing my passion, building a thriving business, and cherishing every moment with my family. Here's to the endless possibilities that the universe has in store for each of us! www.cecleaning.co.uk [email protected] 🌟 #EntrepreneurialJourney #Gratitude #CECleaning #cleaning #cleaningservices #journey #cleaningindustry #retail

Experienced Healthcare Senior Executive | Medical Expert Witness Placement Specialist | Operations Strategist | Outpatient Rehabilitation Healthcare Consultant
WHAT A SUMMER!!!! Here is what I learned: 1. Working 15 hour days for yourself is very different than working 15 hour days for someone else. 😉 2. Traveling non-stop is a privilege but don't deny the exhaustion that comes with not sleeping in your own bed. It takes time to recover from that. 3. Ask for the business! Genuinely - people want to help other people. Don't be afraid to ask. 4. Watching your 21 year old "kicking through glass ceilings" and winning a professional women's football (WFA) national championship while living out her dreams to promote women and sports is a really good way to spend a summer. 5. Coming to the realization that it's time to hire again. Priceless. We begin interviewing for a medical expert witness coordinator next week! Come join us!

Back in July I was promoted to the Administrative Coordinator position at my current job, Rural King. To be completely transparent I did not have any type of administrative or human resource experience prior to starting this position so I am learning a lot as I go. I wanted to share some of the key takeaways I have gotten from this position as I am coming up on 2 months in this office I am in. 1. Create bonds with associates - This may seem self explanatory, but when looking over a retail environment and paying close attention to detail, you can start to see a divide between certain people. Don't be a divide for people, be an open door that they feel safe walking through. 2. Authenticity - It has come to my attention the amount of trust gained in being authentic. I have always taken it upon myself to be authentic with people rather than putting on a façade. Since I have taken over, I have seen a lot more trust between this position and the associates that are on the floor everyday and I would like to give some of that credit to the authenticity that I portray allowing them to trust my words and actions. 3. Be Vocal - Do not create a habit of people telling you the issues they face in the workplace and then putting it on the backburner. I am not saying to throw them into the fire by making their issue the topic of the workplace either. Instead I am saying don't be afraid to be the voice of reason. Be that bridge to help create a better workplace between the associates and the upper management. Help create that sense of wanting to show up to work everyday and making people feel safe and included in their everyday work life. I am not saying I am perfect by any sense or that I have it all figured out. I am a student of life and these are just some things I have learned through my everyday procedures that I hope can help someone else like it has helped me.
