Here’s an important step toward affordable housing availability! The Manufactured Housing Association for Regulatory Reform (MHARR) has called for decisive action to address and remove discriminatory zoning mandates that exclude affordable, HUD-regulated manufactured housing from many communities. It’s one of the principal reasons housing remains unaffordable and unavailable for so many. The President and CEO of MHARR has urged the acting HUD Secretary to Affirmatively Further Fair Housing under the federal Fair Housing Act, which would invalidate and overturn discriminatory local zoning mandates and zoning edicts. It's a news story worth following if you want to see actionable solutions to address today’s affordable housing crisis. Let’s get more people and families into the homes and communities of their choosing. #affordablehousing #manufacturedhousing #manufacturing #construction https://lnkd.in/g7PZS6M3

In Canada it is the law that all residential modular manufacturers have to have CSA ( Canadian standard association) approval in order to supply the market and this standard is accepted by all provinces and the retail consumer. CSA inspectors visit the manufacturers at any time to ensure that their standards are adhered to. All homes must display a registered certification stamp.

We have Tarion in Canada but CSA only applies to modular. Sounds like you need a similar body which would be accepted in all states and zones.
