When golf clubs run their own flexible golf membership, do they make it attractive enough for members to join? I have been doing research on a hand full of clubs and in some cases it is over £10 cheaper to buy a green fee compared to their points matrix equivalent.....so why would they join on a flexible membership? There needs to be a benefit to join as a member, not only regarding parity of green fees, but also a couple of member benefits like % off bar spend or a better booking window than visitors. $389,000,000 Always nice to start a post with a big number! $389,000,000 represents the size of the total prize funds available on the PGA Tour for the 37 events that make up the 2023/24 season, excluding the season-ending Tour Championship. The PGA Tour's event structure has undergone subtle tweaks for this season, with eight events now designated as signature events with total prize funds of $20 million on the line. The Player's Championship commands the biggest purse of $25 million, $4 million ahead of the highest-paying major championship, the U.S. Open.
