July sees the highest number of drownings, with alcohol playing a significant role. According to the CDC, 31% of all drownings involve a BAC of 0.10% or higher. Alcohol impairs judgment and increases risk-taking, making it dangerous for swimmers. Even experienced swimmers can overestimate their abilities or fail to recognize the onset of hypothermia. Stay safe and avoid alcohol when swimming! #preventdrowning #WaterSafety #SummerSafety #StaySober #PreventDrowning
