You should align with the mission for the company you work for. Have you ever found yourself working for a company and you do not align with the mission? I have. Being in HR and not aligning with my company's mission was especially difficult. The work I did felt wholly unfulfilling. The decisions around how we governed ourselves felt superficial. I felt like there was no purpose to our work because what was the point anyway? On the flip side, I have also worked for a company whose mission I did align with. As a result, I felt consistent motivation to propel the company forward and was engaged in all aspects of my role. I felt purpose in my work and regularly proposed innovative ideas that impacted the company and greater community. The team I led was united, had great morale and long term tenure. Personally, I felt fulfilled, excited to go to work each day and experienced more growth than I had at other jobs. See why it’s so important to be aligned with your company's mission OR have employees who are aligned with the company's mission. Let’s embrace our company’s mission as more than just a tagline, but as a guiding light that illuminates our path to personal and collective success. How do you align with your company’s mission?

Don't let money be the only driving factor in your career decisions! Too often, we see top-performers leave for a higher paycheck or better opportunity. But here's the truth: the culture you create is worth more than the money you offer. Your team should feel excited and purpose-led when they come to work. As a young company doubling our staff every six months, here are 5 soft skills we look for in our candidates: 1. Passion We look for people who burn for what they do. Being in love with your job is the only way to make sure you’ll show up with the energy you need to deliver results. 2. Commitment to keep going. When passion fades, you need commitment - commitment to the company, its mission, and delivering results. Or what is the same, pull yourself together, and get things done. 3. Personal improvement. Wanting to be better, always. Never being satisfied and pushing your limits consistently. Do you have a desire to be constantly improving? That’s good. Show it. 4. Structural and analytical thinking. We need people who can think logically and solve problems creatively and effectively. Not only smart and academically trained people but also people who can solve any situation that they may come across. 5. Directness. Expressing your thoughts and feelings openly can avoid things getting worse. Even negative thoughts. Even when it’s to say you’re not comfortable. Did some of the above resonate? Are you interested in joining our team? Let's talk about how you can be a part of it.

When it comes down to work and decisions individuals make throughout their career. I believe that ENVIRONMENT will ALWAYS be at LEAST in the top THREE categories of importance when considering the longevity and loyalty of an associate. I TRULY BELIEVE that when you: 1. Trust in the people you hire to successfully accomplish their projects without micromanagement. 2. Allow them to utilize the tools they need to figure out complex problems. 3. Evaluate them by the quality of their work as opposed to silly useless metrics. AND MOST IMPORTANTLY: 4.RESPECT them as a professional and lead them to success instead of using their mistakes to boost your own ego (Huge issue with many common minded experts in any industry). An employees resiliency and loyalty to your company will grow beyond many barriers (yes even small increases in pay)! My current position is living proof of that and it adds an amazing layer of excitement and adventure more days than not!!!
