Buying carbon removal credits - for many people, including some CSOs, this final step in carbon elimination requires a leap of faith, one that some people are still not willing to make. What are you buying? Where's the transparency? Is it doing any good? Anna Krotova and I were asked to join the CARBON X Carbon Dioxide Removal podcast to discuss the role of carbon removal in the toolbox of the CSO with Eli Harrell. TLDR: This isn't a silver bullet. You still need to decarbonise your supply chain as much as possible first. But yes, there's a place for buying carbon removal to offset that last bit of carbon you can't eliminate. 🔈 Check out the podcast here: https://lnkd.in/e9yzq4ut 📗 And you can find our book here https://mybook.to/xTTo

A few months ago, on Beyond Impact, le podcast, Daphné Dupont Gurs and Thomas Marsal questioned the survival of the carbon credit market in the face of its controversies. 🤔 Often associated with greenwashing, carbon credits are nonetheless an interesting way to accelerate the low-carbon transition. Companies like Inuk are helping to restore the carbon credit market's image by tackling the issues of traceability and transparency that it must address, and by innovating to multiply their impact. In this edition of #BOTH, Thaïs Drozdowski, co-founder of Inuk, discusses these challenges and the ways to address them, advocating for a new model for the carbon credit market to become a true market of expertise, allowing clients to investigate and understand the projects and therefore be able to choose the right one for their company's activities and value chain. → Link to the interview in the comments section 💌 Subscribe to #BOTH, the newsletter about impact and growth by Ring Capital, directly in the article #impactinvesting #impact #carboncredits #carbonemissions
