We're seeing study after study proving the strong link between gut health and mental health, which opens up so many doors for the future of mental health treatment! Christopher M. Palmer puts it well: "By addressing these underlying biological mechanisms, we can develop more effective, integrative treatment strategies that not only alleviate depressive symptoms but also promote overall mental and metabolic health." We have to keep in mind, however, that as is the case with most treatment plans within healthcare, plans are highly tailored—what works for one individual may not work for another, and we have to stay vigilant about not only what works but WHY it works. #GutHealth #MentalHealth #GutBrainInteractions https://lnkd.in/ek739vRw
