Wicked Problems - many organisations are dealing with these types of challenges. So how to navigate?
An old #TedTalk but practical and can be applied widely to many organisational challenges. Tom Wujec explains how visualisation and systems theory can be used to unpack wicked problems:
🗣 "You start with a question, you collect the nodes, you refine the nodes, you do it over again, you refine and refine and refine, and the patterns emerge, and the group gets clarity and you answer the question".
Applying this type of technique to developing a product strategy is likely to be worth the time and effort. Recently, I've worked with my team to do this type of activity for our work in #responsibleAI and the #publicsector to tackle #childexploiation and support #safeguarding efforts - we didn't quite go with a full visual approach, but certainly will next time.
A team exercise that not only brings light to a problem, but allows for engagement and a joint understanding - which allows you to move forward together.

Value creation takes time, passion and a part of yourself. You cannot buy it at walmart, off the shelf. And you should not hire the best to tell her / him what to do and how to do it or why (believe it or not, it is not for the money).
OpenAI said … that Altman was pushed out after a review found he was "not consistently candid in his communications" with the board of directors, which had lost confidence in his ability to lead OpenAI. Absolutely nobody gave a penny for what him and his team achieved. Moreover, some of his colleagues jumped in to chew some power bones.
One Wall Street research firm said it believes that “tensions arose over Altman's push to develop more advanced products”.
People fear what they cannot control or understand.
What are you afraid of today?
PS: in the last few days ChatGPT 4 experienced heavy and continuous failures even with small tasks, somehow showing that a lot of the team members supporting Altman were not happy with the way he was sacked by the BoD members who were supposed to support him otherwise.

This thread highlights the playbook that’s been used and does a pretty good job laying out what is potentially coming. And if it doesn’t scare you into moving I don’t know what will.
Super excited to get this up and running for y'all!!
