Many healthy individuals are qualified to donate blood, and many also need blood to survive and to have a continued better quality of life. Most of the time, both people from opposite sides of the spectrum do not meet. In times of crucial and urgent cases, the results can be tragic for the patient while the individual willing to donate is deprived of the opportunity to help. This scenario is especially true in places where blood banks are always in short supply of blood, and voluntary unpaid blood donations are poor. The opportunity to donate/receive blood is simply unavailable. This is where My Hema Circle comes in. It is a platform that allows willing people to enlist as potential blood donors and gives patients access to these generous individuals so that they can have blood supply at crucial points in their treatment. Please support the creation of this platform by considering giving a donation at https://lnkd.in/ghUTFGYX Your valuable contributions are a tremendous help to realize this vision. #blooddonation #thalassemia #sicklecell #accidents #rightToHealth

Did you know, there is a demand and supply gap of 2.5 donations per 1,000 eligible persons which is around one million units less than it should be [1]. A steady supply of blood is essential to prevent any tragic outcome for patients who are in constant or critical need of it. This steady supply can only be maintained if we donate blood regularly. This World Blood Donor Day, your donation can create a ripple of life-saving impact. #Roche | #ValueOfDiagnostics | #WorldBloodDonorDay | #BloodDonation | #BloodSafety | #IPledgeRED Source 1: https://lnkd.in/gkSwRWPZ.

Donate Blood, Save Lives! Blood is not only a lifesaving resource for transfusions, but also a critical starting material for many cell and gene therapies, microbiology, virology, oncology, vaccine development, toxicology, and immunotherapies. To make these therapies work, high-quality blood samples are used to develop treatments for various indications such as CAR-T cell therapy for cancer (e.g., Kymriah, Yescarta), stem cell therapy for regenerative medicine (e.g., cord blood stem cells for bone marrow transplantation), and gene therapies (e.g., Luxturna and Zolgensma). Through the integration of RWD at various stages, Maxis Clinical Sciences helps in the development of cell and gene therapies by providing RWE services that include data analytics, regulatory support, HEOR, patient outcomes tracking, personalized medicine, etc. for the development and commercialization of these therapies. It is interesting to observe how every component of blood contributes to life-saving treatments and how RWE can be embedded throughout the clinical drug development process. Let's recognize the importance of blood donation and its far-reaching impact on healthcare innovation!

Today marks the start of #OrganDonationWeek Did you know you’re more likely to need a transplant than be a donor? And that every day people die because consent rates are so low? And did you know we have big #healthinequalities with ethnic minorities being twice as likely to need a transplant but less likely to donate, so they wait longer on the list? Have the chat with your family about your decision today 🙏 organdonation.nhs.uk or #NHSApp
