Golfers should think of their swing like baking five cherry pies. You collect your ingredients, turn on the oven, mix the ingredients, bake in the oven, and hopefully pull it out at the right time and don’t burn the pie. In golf, your ingredients are the golf course and the situation at hand. There’s a distance, a direction, and a speed. It can be simple folks… But what happens if you overcook the pie? Would going back and changing the ingredients do anything? Of course not! You’ll need to start another pie and in this case, play your next shot. Arguing with the outcome is like trying to fix a burnt pie. Complaining about the outcomes is like trying to fix a burnt pie. Move onto the next one and try again. Remember the most important shot you’ll ever hit… is the next one! And if you’re feeling down about your game, just remember that even the best golfers have bad days.
