Here are some important things to know! 🤰 Pregnancy-related medical conditions are considered disabilities under NJ's Law Against Discrimination, requiring reasonable accommodations. ⏳ Standard disability leave typically lasts 4-8 weeks before and after birth, with extensions for complications. 💼 Temporary Disability Benefits (TDB) provide income during leave, supplemented by Family Leave Insurance (NJFLI) for bonding. 👩👧👦 Employers with 30 employees must comply with NJ's Family Leave Act, offering up to 12 weeks of job-protected leave for bonding or caregiving. 📅 Employers with 50 employees must also adhere to the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), potentially extending leave to 24 weeks when overlapping with NJFLA.
