For the first time in decades, beavers have returned to the South Fork Tule River watershed thanks to California Department of Fish and Wildlife's Beaver Restoration Program and the Tule River Tribe. 🦫 "Tribal expertise and Traditional Ecological Knowledge are crucial for tackling the biodiversity crisis. The Tule River Tribal Council is leading efforts to reintroduce beavers to their ancestral lands, benefiting both people and ecosystems. Congratulations to the tribe and CDFW for their partnership!" - Geneva E. B. Thompson, Deputy Secretary for Tribal Affairs, California Natural Resources Agency Learn more: https://lnkd.in/g6_Zfx7n #Biodiversity #TEK #BeaverRestoration

Beavers are awesome creatures. Loved watching them building dams near Kennedy Meadows.
