I had some great takeaways and am feeling pretty inspired around building a positive "people focused" culture from the Tech Power Breakfast this morning.
- Be human first. Get curious, ask people what's important to them. Give people the benefit of the doubt and offer them grace.
- Start with trusting your employees. This will go far around hybrid work schedules and PTO policies.
- Be clear with what your company values and intentionally acknowledge how these values get recognized by your employees. Give employees a platform to acknowledge each other. Bring values into performance reviews. Be transparent with the strides you're making toward incorporating these values into your company's culture.
- Everyone wants to belong. Be willing to ask them how they can feel a great sense of belonging.
- Have a hiring and onboarding process where values and culture is communicated clearly.
