National Native American Heritage Month is celebrated each year in November. It is a time to celebrate the traditions, languages, and stories of Native American, Alaska Native, Native Hawaiian, and affiliated Island communities and ensure their rich histories and contributions continue to thrive with each passing generation. This November and every month, we celebrate the culture and heritage of these remarkable Americans who deeply enrich the quality and character of our Nation. We celebrate Indian Country with its remarkable diversity of American Indian and Alaska Native cultures and peoples while remembering and honoring our veterans who have sacrificed so much to defend our Nation. This year’s theme at Interior is Celebrating Tribal Sovereignty and Identity. Tribal sovereignty ensures that any decisions about Tribes regarding their property and citizens are made with their participation and consent. The federal trust responsibility is a legal obligation under which the United States “has charged itself with moral obligations of the highest responsibility and trust” toward Indian tribes. #NativeAmericanHeritageMonth Learn more: https://nuvi.me/ftau79

NATIONAL NATIVE AMERICAN HERITAGE DAY The day after Thanksgiving honors American Indians across the nation. The day celebrates the vibrant cultures, traditions, and heritages while recognizing Native Americans' many contributions. The day encourages listening to Native American voices and fostering pride in the vibrant and layered heritage embedded deep within our society. To celebrate Native American Heritage Day, try any of the following: *Read a story about or by a Native American. *Visit one of many Native American museums, heritage centers, or historical sights. *Try a delicious Native American recipe. *Watch a movie or documentary about or by a Native American. *Participate in or watch a game of Lacrosse. *Attend one of many seminars, performances, or events honoring Native American culture across the country. #NativeAmericanHeritageDay

My king is the Lord Jesus of the Judean Royal house of David, and my nationality the Kingdom of God. We respect all kings and rulers as power and authority is of God. Where I am born and my heritage of culture, including being Danish, are layers of complexity, so I observe the matters of kingdoms. Do Australian Republicans cringe at the success of Mary, Queen of the old monarchy of Denmark, which is closely related to the British monarchy? https://lnkd.in/gTJiPysZ

BAOULÉ & ASANTE Baoulé and Asante are never the same. They actually migrated to the shores of Komoé being led by their brave Queen who sacrificed her son to the river before the were able to crossed. They migrated because the Asantes with their quest or ambition to expand their territories to form an empire attacked them and conquered them. According to history, their Queen Aura Poku was in competition with the Asante King. Some sources mentioned her being a niece to King Osei Tutu and she not sacrificing her child. However it may be, let’s present history as it is available. The similarity between the Baoulé and Asante is they all Akan tribe and have some similar names which do not mean they are one. Even in some documents, you will learn that Baoulé is a whole different ethnicity together with Eʋe and Akan forming up the largest Kwa languages. In history, sometimes you become a villain and sometimes a hero. We shouldn’t be afraid to present history as it happened. It’s there for us to learn and also to guide us into the future but never should we distort history to suit us. pls note: this post is for only educational purpose.
