In marketing, a buyer persona, also known as a marketing persona, an audience persona, or a customer persona, represents a target audience for your product or service. That is not a real person. Instead, it is an ideal person, built by a marketing team, who will acquire your product or service. Imagine a person with individual traits, routines, interests, behaviors, age, and location beyond other characteristics. That person will be the face of your target audience, meaning that other potential customers will have similar characteristics. That said, it becomes easier to establish a more effective campaign for promoting your product or service. Deep research information, such as behavior traits, demographic details, and interests, is necessary to build a persona. By collecting all that information, you will understand their needs, pain points, and goals. When determining a buyer persona, you will take into consideration these aspects before investing in a digital marketing campaign, which can save you costs and mitigate risks related to your marketing strategy.
