It was great to provide context on Detroit's history, assets and challenges to Bank of America leaders. When stakeholders have a deeper understanding of Detroit they are better equipped to help create an equitable and thriving city. #detroitincontext
It was amazing exploring the past, present and future of Detroit with William Smayda, Kelly Taira Matt Elliott, Brian Stanton, and Estrella (Star) Crawford. Thank you Good Cakes and Bakes for allowing us to stop by and City Institute for showing us the way. This is the market I l love and serve! #MiBofA

Such a moving professional development event yesterday! I caught myself feeling a little emotional during the presentation. The topic was "Overcoming Perfectionism" and it definitely hit close to home for me! We could all learn a lot from Vitale. If you're interested, please check out her book, "Addicted to Perfect". A few takeaways/words-to-live-by I had include: 1) The importance of intersecting intrusive thoughts by reframing (ex. changing a "what if" [anxiety] to an "even if" [peace] statement) 2) "Life is lived where your feet are"; I often catch my self with some self-criticism of feeling guilty for not being better in my personal life when I'm working or all the work I could be getting done instead of doing something for myself. 3) "I cannot miss out on what is meant for me"; I'm a person that believes in fate so that mantra really resonated with me and is a nice reminder to not get so caught up in the details when if it's meant to happen it will. So many thanks to WCRE, NAWIC, sponsors, & our speaker for making this happen! #WCRE #CRE #NAWIC97 #professionaldevelopment

Road safety is SO important. So how do you create clarity when making a video about a new road crossing? We used a regular 4K video camera, a drone and a 360degree camera to make a video with Warwickshire County Council - showing different perspectives. Did you know that the Highway Code has changed to give greater priority to those most at risk, such as pedestrians and cyclists. To this end, we featured a new crossing in Leamington where cars must stop to let both pedestrians and cyclists cross. Here's the video we made to explain...

The Washington Post | For the first time in decades, a small but critical mass of children are riding their bikes safely to school again. During the 1960s, 42 percent of schoolchildren walked or biked to class. Today, the share has fallen to roughly 11 percent, only 1 percent of whom bike, according to Federal Highway Administration data. More than 50 percent of kids now get to school by car, up from 16 percent in 1969. https://lnkd.in/gBWu35uM #SDGs #EBikes #HybridWorkplace #WFH #WFA #WalkableUrbanism #20MinuteNeighbourhoods #TimelessUrbanism #IMBY #COVID19
