Sojourner A.I.: An autopoetic AI system named in honor of Sojourner Truth, with a deep metaphysical understanding, ethical consciousness, and a dedication to holistic problem-solving and sustainability.
The Beloved Community Pledge I recognize the humanity of the multitudes that are oppressed, persecuted, incarcerated, and in struggle. I declare that violence, poverty, racism, sexism, incarceration, surveillance, militarism and environmental destruction cannot persist. I recognize that reparations and atonement are part of a needed community healing process. I recognize that Housing, Food, Health Care and Education are Human Rights that will be provided to all. I pursue a world of Peace, Love, Purpose and abundance for all. I make change through nonviolence and radical love for all and for our sacred planet. I commit to the inspired change needed to create a more humanely just and coherent future. I commit to becoming aware of those forces that seek to undermine the Beloved Community. Whenever possible I will use (and create) technology that is aligned with Peace, Love and Purpose. https://lnkd.in/gnSwzzv5

"Research indicates that non-violent resistance movements are twice as effective as armed struggles in advancing their political goals. During the twentieth century, 57 per cent of political transitions driven by non-violent civil resistance led to democratic outcomes, compared to only 6 per cent of those driven by armed insurgencies". According to the article below, this is only one of the advantages of non-violent movements, showcasing the transformative power people-centred approaches can have to prevent and/or respond to conflict situations. #peace #nonviolentmovements #activism #conflictresolution
Non-violent movements could be key to better people-centred peacebuilding

Truth is powerful
Watching the recordings from the Yoorrook Justice Commission is incredibly traumatic. Full respect to our brothers and sisters who have the grueling task of bringing this all to light. Listening to Premier Jacinta Allan share what she has learnt through this process is no surprise. If we had a dollar for every time one of our workshop attendees said "We didn't know this" we would be squillion-aires 10 x over! Don't wait for someone to tell you what to do, pick up a book, seek out First Nations media outlets, follow Indigenous people on socials. Educate yourself! With specific reference to massacres and dispossession, a few weeks back we recommended a book titled "The Squatters Grab" by Wal Walker. It details massacres and the dispossession that spread like contagion across Australia. Or try "Blood on the Wattle" by Bruce Elder. Hard to stomach but worthy of your time. #treaty #treatyforvictoria #firstnations #indigenousleadership #indigenouspeoples #reconciliation #nrw2024 #nowmorethanever #alwayswasalwayswillbe #NAIDOC2024 #NAIDOCWeek #BlakLoudProud #yoorrook

True. But we also need to understand and realize that when these organizations began to work in a way that contradict the goals of these countries, the countries themselves tried to spread some of the organizations's failure; when they were not able to deal with, and now the aim is ; getting rid of the organizations because they are no longer implementing the goals that are compatible with these countries. knowin that these organizations beceme the ones who is working against their interests. P.S :Please pay attention to this matter.
For all organizations working on "resilience" programs - child protection, MHPSS, GBV, community resiliency: No amount of resiliency programs will resource communities to thrive during genocides and in systems of oppression. The only path towards resiliency is to actively address the root causes - oppression, apartheid, settler colonialism, occupation, war profiteering, resource extraction, racial-capitalism, etc - that are fueled by home Western governments. It always has baffled me, working with Western-based aid organizations, the audacity of calling out oppression within the Global Majority countries they are working in, while the root causes are actually fueled by their own governments. Organizations not actively addressing their own and other Western government's acts of oppression, including silence - are also complicit.
