In August 2021, we published our Radical Inclusion, Diversity, & Equity Anti-Racism Pledge. We set some short and long term objectives, and asked: What would it look like for Black Rock City and all of our global communities to be more radically inclusive and diverse? A year and a half later, so much has happened — members of the community have stepped up to build art pieces, create theme camps, write stories and produce videos, and perhaps most importantly, share the best of our culture and bring new faces into the fold in Black Rock City. Check out this report for an update on all things R.I.D.E. #burningman #10principles #thankslarry #burningmanproject

Anti-Racism is a Maoist Marxist principal, so is diversity, equity, and inclusion. It is regrettable to have been part of the volunteer event staff of this event for so many years to watch it fall into the hands of "wokesanistas". For something centered in the failing San Francisco Bay area, is it any wonder Burning man is just as morally bankrupt as the city where it was founded. I have been wondering for a long time now how positive change happens. Obiously without intent and effort nothing happens. However, I am in awe of how much seems to be about 'just doing things'. Of course it is not that simple, but this does seem to be a story line I have experinced and seen at Burning Man many many times: Changing the world for teh beter by doing shit and see what sticks. Haha, why not? If it sometimes can be that simple! Joppe

I love these new initiatives, and the focus on making the event more accessible and representative of the full population. I’m interested in seeing the org take steps to involve the white straight rich majority population in these efforts through education and programs. I’m afraid that without injecting these topics into the “core curriculum” RiDE will stay a big problem for a small group of passionate people. Tagging Romi Elan, Dereca Blackmon (she/they), and Odessa Avianna Perez who do increaidble things at SoulPlay Festivals on this topic.

you also need to include classism because if you want to be radically inclusive the poor seldom get a chance to be able to easily get a ticket to go to perhaps one of the most important meetings of minds and talents in the world this is a necessary inclusional notification include the poor a little more figure out more ways to drive the artistic and creative talents of other people existing in this world that want to go to Burning Man

I love how Chandler explained exactly why this is necessary.

Equity is a false term replacing equality. The BMorg needs to wake the F up.
