EastSide Golf, a company founded by two golf teammates at Morehouse College, has grown its revenue from $100K in 2019 to $4M in 2023. ⛳ The golf apparel brand has prioritized diversifying the sport’s audience in a few ways: 1. Creating unconventional golf shoes with the Jordan Brand. 2. Promoting their apparel with culture icons like DJ Khaled, Barack Obama, and Chris Paul. 3. Collaborating with the NBA and MLB whose audience matches with EastSide Golf’s values of inclusivity and culture. By leveraging culture sensations to transform the barriers of an old game, EastSide Golf has experienced 600% year-over-year growth in the past two years. EastSide Golf’s success proves that tying culture into product marketing has much more of an impact on brand growth. #sportsmarketing #brandmarketing #brandgrowth

🚨 I’M CALLING A MULLIGAN 🚨 For reference, a mulligan is a second chance to perform an action, usually after the first chance went wrong through bad luck or a blunder, typically in golf. Plainly put, it’s a do-over. I’m the daughter of a golfer so 🤷🏽♀️ Why am I calling a mulligan, you ask? Because my LinkedIn Live Launch this morning SUCKED, plain and simple. If you attended, THANK YOU but you definitely did not see me at my best. Anyone who knows me knows that I take what I do VERY seriously and that I am hyper-critical of my work. I set higher standards for myself than anyone else and when I don’t meet or exceed them, I can be downright mean to myself about it. In all honesty, everything that could have gone wrong during the recording DID. So, I am calling a mulligan for 3 reasons: 1. Because I can. That’s the great thing about do-overs, you can do them whenever YOU choose. 2. Having all the right things at the wrong time seldom pans out well. 3. Regardless of how today’s event went, I am still DOING the work students, educators, and leaders NEED. I learned important lessons today, did what I could with what I had/knew at the time, and the rest just is what it is 🤷🏽♀️ So here’s to do-overs, doing the best we can with what we’ve got, AND taking what we DO not who we ARE so seriously 🤪 The video link to what I believe is a MUCH better (not best) launch showing for me is forthcoming✌🏾

I'm teeing off with pride as I watch my coworkers at The Escape Pod swing into action on this campaign. Their drive and commitment are a hole-in-one inspiration! For the global launch of Golf Pride's new Reverse Taper putter grip – we knew we had to get real about what a putter grip could do for your game. No talk of making every putt, holing 50-footers, or never three-putting again (sorry to any golfers reading this). Just talk of a grip designed to help you where a putt matters most – the split-second where the putt is decided. The moment of impact. Drawing on 75 years of inspiration, coupled with extensive consumer testing, Golf Pride designed Reverse Taper with a larger lower hand to optimize both hands during the putting stroke and help square the clubface at impact – arguably the most important split second in golf. Our Reverse Taper campaign launched across major global markets including North America, UK, Europe and Asia with a mix of OLV, print, retail, social and more.

👟🥇Hey there, athletes, coaches, parents, and sports enthusiasts! We all know that feeling of triumph after a good workout or thrilling game. But what about the not-so-pleasant side of sports? We’re not talking about the difficult practices or tough losses. We’re talking about those pungent odors wafting through locker rooms, emanating from gear. As an athlete (or a parent of an athlete), you’re wondering how to get rid of the smell of sports gear that lingers in the air, even after you take the gear out for cleaning. 🤢 Read more on the blog now: https://lnkd.in/ecPP9Uje

Does it make the boat go faster? Team GB rowers asked themselves this throughout their prep for the Sydney Olympics. I’m obsessed by its brutal simplicity. The rowers distilled their goal to the only thing that matters – their boat being faster than all others.. Hundredths of seconds would separate gold-medal and non-medal positions. Their question enabled them to evaluate every action individually and collectively. Training regimens, nutrition and even their lifestyle choices. If your organisation truly understands its vision, your version of “does it make the boat go faster?” provides an equally simple and profoundly honest lens – empowering everyone to challenge anything that doesn’t clearly and unambiguously deliver to it. If you can’t find a simple question, how can you be sure your teams know that they’re doing the right thing? #brand #vision #culture #progress #competition

So proud of our creative team on this new work for the global campaign launch of Golf Pride's new Reverse Taper putter grip! Strategically we focused on the process of putting rather than the outcome, because we knew we had to get real about what a putter grip could actually do for your game. That meant no talk of making every putt, holing 50-footers, or never three-putting again (sorry to any golfers reading this). #GolfPride #Strategy #newcampaign

As we turn the calendar to May, we also celebrate a landmark event in American sports—the 150th running of the Kentucky Derby. This historic race isn't just a display of equine excellence; it’s a culmination of years of meticulous preparation and strategic planning, much like the work we do as benefits consultants. Horse trainers and benefits consultants operate behind the scenes with a common goal: to see long-term plans come to fruition. For the trainers, it’s about understanding each horse, developing tailored training programs, and making strategic decisions that lead to success on the racetrack. Similarly, in benefits consulting, our success comes from thoroughly understanding client needs, crafting well-rounded benefits programs, and strategically adjusting them over time to meet evolving goals. 🥂 Fun Fact: Over 120,000 mint juleps are served during the Kentucky Derby weekend, highlighting the race’s rich tradition and festive spirit. As we celebrate the Derby, let’s embrace the spirit of dedication and strategic foresight that connects our work to this iconic event. 🏇 Join the Conversation: How do you prepare for long-term success in your professional endeavors? Whether it’s through strategic planning, continuous learning, or adaptability, share your approach in the comments below! #strategydriven #futurefocused #kyderby #employeebenefits
