We created an animation for the Lambeth Youth Forum in the UK, celebrating young people's expertise in preventing violence. Led by our Associate Creative Director Jennifer Zheng and movement psychotherapist Lucy Ella Warren, the project features a phenakistoscope to capture and share the emotions and stories of these young people, aiming to raise awareness and promote well-being.

be quiet. just be. just breathe. be free. I am a Husband, Dad, Peer / Ich bin ein Ehemann, Vater, Genesungsbegleiter
Click on the Picture after the text to watch this 1979 animation based on the book by Shel Silverstein. "The Giving Tree" by Shel Silverstein is a children's book that delves into complex themes of selflessness, love, sacrifice, and the nature of relationships. From a psychological perspective, the book can be interpreted in various ways, but one common interpretation is through the lens of attachment theory and human development. The story revolves around the relationship between a boy and a tree. Initially, the tree provides the boy with everything he needs - shade, fruit, branches to swing from - embodying the selfless nature of unconditional love and caregiving often associated with parental figures. This dynamic mirrors the early stages of attachment in human development, where caregivers meet the needs of their children without expecting anything in return. As the boy grows older, his needs change, and he begins to take more and more from the tree, eventually leading to the tree sacrificing nearly everything, including its trunk, to fulfill the boy's desires. This can be seen as a metaphor for the evolving nature of relationships and the challenges of maintaining healthy boundaries. From a psychological perspective, the book raises questions about dependency, gratitude, and reciprocity in relationships. It prompts readers to reflect on the balance between giving and receiving, and the emotional toll of one-sided relationships. It also highlights the importance of setting boundaries and recognizing when a relationship becomes unhealthy or unsustainable. Additionally, "The Giving Tree" can be interpreted as a commentary on environmentalism and the consequences of exploitation and depletion of natural resources. The tree's selfless giving ultimately leads to its own destruction, serving as a cautionary tale about the importance of stewardship and sustainable practices. Overall, the psychology behind "The Giving Tree" is multifaceted, inviting readers to contemplate the complexities of human relationships, the dynamics of give-and-take, and the enduring power of love and sacrifice.

This I've written and played is a Story song. I haven't put lyrics to it because it is a background song to a digital story. This one I've written is called : The Queens Parade. Any song writers interest out there? This may help you create on a different topic level. Cartoon Animation, Gaming or Story songs are my fave, because of the complexity of its dynamic. It's a challenge, which I love, because it has to grab the imagination of the listener as the titled name or main character of the story, which is even better because the scale of notes should then express the emotions of the charactor or situations that the character is in, meaning the Story expressiin develops a vision. Blank Screen Stories are better for children because it helps the imagination into creativity. Always get a child to write & draw after listening to a black screened story, and watch how better it will be after the imagination has been captured and inspired. Ask them to draw one before the Story and them one after.

I have a film and digital media bachelor's of arts degree from Baylor University so this independent project has awesome potential, but very little support. This progress was once called "CAUSATION DOCUMENTARY," but after careful observation of events I decided to rename it #PRSCTNDOC or "PERSECUTION DOCUMENTARY." The documentary will be broken up into four parts: ABSENTEE, FACE IT, DEBUNKED, and CAUSATION. ABSENTEE will conquer the ills of self-righteous tyrannical travelers who cannot see their own sins. FACE IT will abase the ills of photography and show people what really counts. DEBUNKED will approach and damage magic and common urban legends/myths with the truths of the Bible. CAUSATION will reveal the truth of wellness and sickness in order to prove that there are no new illnesses, but there are new causes. tinyurl.com/causationdoc

This a great film if you want to explore where deepfakes are negatively affecting lives. Generating deepfake imagery in this manner by a single bad actor can wreak havoc on the health of a multitude of people. The really sad part about this is that it really takes one single bad actor ( as seen in the video ) and the potential harm tools enable people to make is alarming. This is why we need regulatory action to prevent the adverse aspects and influences these tools can have on a society through deepfakes and other ill-intently motivated uses.
ANOTHER BODY (anotherbodyfilm.com), directed by Sophie Tara Compton and Reuben Hamlyn and produced by Elizabeth Woodward tells the emotional and at times heart-breaking story of a college student searching for answers and justice after she discovers deepfake imagery of herself circulating online.

With so much strife, distress, & dangers in the world, how are #AppliedArtsAndHealth & #ArtBasedResearch practitioners responding? Here's one example: “The Stuck in Traffick film project: Engaging young men in community-based expressive arts activism” by Rebecca Rubin from 2016, 7.2. https://lnkd.in/g-wDyhvr #film #arts #YoungMen #ExpressiveArts #activism #CommunityBased #filmmaking #DomesticViolence #SexualExploitation #prevention #ViolencePrevention Abstract: The Stuck in Traffick film project (SIT) is a community-based, expressive arts activism project supported by the Joe Torre Safe at Home Foundation’s Margaret’s Place program (MP). SIT was sparked by the vision of five teen male participants of the MP peer leadership and young men’s groups in Brooklyn, New York, in 2013. Through an integrative, expressive arts-based process, the young men used filmmaking to explore the relationship between two social issues that called to them: Domestic Violence and Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children. This article will discuss the SIT film project process, which included community-based expressive arts enquiry, production, exhibition and aesthetic response.
