The next time you create an ad for a product / service targeted towards women and featuring women, ask yourself: Does she have agency in her narrative? Does her role serve as a plot point, an object, or a foil for a man in the ad? Does her story convey authenticity of experience?

The discussion around the 'motherhood penalty' is not just crucial; it's overdue. The fact that a decade after having children, mothers suffer a staggering 60% more economically than fathers is a stark reminder of the systemic inequities plaguing our society. Allison Robinson's insights at SXSW, alongside a powerful panel of women, shed light on the complex interplay between motherhood and career trajectories, offering much-needed perspectives on navigating these challenges. This conversation is a reminder that the path to gender equality in the workplace requires acknowledging and addressing these deep-rooted biases. As we strive for progress, let's champion policies and cultural shifts that support all parents, ensuring women don't have to choose between career success and family. #GenderEquality #MotherhoodPenalty #WomenEmpowerment"
“The cost of the motherhood penalty is so real. We know that about a decade out of having a child, Mom’s economic impact suffers about 60% more than Dad. The math looks so fundamentally different - women are at the peak of their career trajectory when also becoming mothers.” - Allison Robinson, Founder This past weekend, Allison joined SHEmedia at SXSW with a panel of powerful women discussing women, wealth and well-being, sharing personal insights to help empower others on their journey to success.

I come from an industry that is predominantly powered by #women However, even today, most industries are dominated by men. In 2022, #data collected from the International Labour Organization concluded that, out of 180 countries - the #unitedstates ranks number 71 for % of women in the workforce. The percentage of women in the #workforce in the U.S is 46.38% Women remain #underrepresented at all levels, in most industries. However, know that when you call 9-1-1 it’s likely that the #hero under the headset is a #strong , #brave , #courageous #female According to a Bureau of Labor Statistics report in 2021 - 74% if 911 operators are women. “People need to see leaders who look like themselves, to understand that it’s possible for them.” Happy #womenshistorymonth #womenempowerment #womenchangemakers #genderequality #911dispatch #911dispatcher #dispatchers #publicsafety #publicsector #everydayheroes

On today's #TheExchange by Greenbook, Natalie Pusch stepped in for Karen Lynch, who's attending #iiexapac. Big shout out to the Title Sponsor Bolt Insight, as well as all the other sponsors, exhibitors, speakers and attendees! Natalie also gave a sneak peek into the upcoming #IIEXNA; there is exciting content and speakers to look forward to, like Bose Corporation that just confirmed today! Karen is also featured in an ongoing series by 10K Humans and Kerry Hecht: The Art of Deception: Cracking Open the 'Paid for Your Say' Saga. They are going to release clips from an hour long talk as they did #Botgate. We covered new product launches from Remesh, Discuss, and Shapiro Raj (congrats Scott Swigart), showcasing the latest advancements in #qualitativeresearch and #AI technology. The discussion covered Accenture's recent acquisition of The Lumery, part of Accenture Song and its influence on the research industry, noting the trend of consulting firms increasingly acquiring in this sector. This trend is indicative of the evolving roles of researchers in a data-driven economy and the importance of consulting skills were highlighted. The conversation also touched upon the increasingly indistinct boundaries between various research categories and the dispersion of research buyers across different business issues. Switching gears, we explored the latest trends in tech and robotics, emphasizing a significant investment in robotics startup Figure by Microsoft, NVIDIA, OpenAI, Intel Corporation, #jeffbezos, Ark, Align, and Parkway as well as new partnerships between Tumblr, OpenAI and MidJourney and the increasing potential job displacement by AI agents, particularly in manual labor and customer service roles. We covered concerns over the perhaps too swift implementation of AI, referencing the Google #geminiai launch as a prominent mishap. That experience emphasizes the necessity of thoroughly evaluating AI tools before their deployment and underscored the potential dangers of using black box solutions. Natalie added to the conversation by providing instances of AI supplying incorrect information, referencing an article by the The Washington Post on a recent test of the #chatbots in Intuit TurboTax and H&R Block that did not pass muster , thereby stressing the potential repercussions of depending on flawed AI guidance. We wrapped up by exploring the intricacies of regulating #aitechnologies , using the example of OpenAI's transition to a for-profit business and the subsequent legal issues with #elonmusk. We examined the varying attitudes towards AI across generations (thanks to Natalie!) and the potential effect of government regulation on AI development. The discussion emphasized the importance of caution and supervision in adopting AI, especially in areas like #dataprivacy and consumer perception. We referenced a new report by Publicis and Yahoo, news on a #GDPR complaint against LiveRamp, and a #datapartnership between dunnhumby and Placer.ai.
We're still buzzing from how amazing Natalie Pusch was on Episode 32 of The Exchange! Her insights were invaluable and we can't wait to have her back! 🎉 Also, a huge shoutout to all the incredible women out there on this International Women's Day! Your power, guidance, and wisdom inspire us every day! 💚 Don't forget to tune in to our next episode, coming up this Friday at 12pm ET! → https://lnkd.in/eadaC72n #internationalwomensday

What a wonderful reflection indeed! 🌟 Our minds truly are remarkable meaning-making machines. It's fascinating how effortlessly they generate various options in an instant. 😊 It's a testament to the complexity and creativity of our minds. However, amidst this whirlwind of thoughts, the question arises: which voices originate from our unconscious mind? 🤔 It's intriguing to consider that the surface of our questions, or the voices we hear, is often a blend of conscious and unconscious elements (rooted in our meaning-sphere). Developing awareness of these multiple voices is a crucial step toward manifesting the future we aspire to. 🌱 By acknowledging and exploring the depths of our "meaning-making processes", we can navigate our inner landscape more skillfully and shape our external reality with greater clarity and intention. 🚀 Contact me for further information and to get a map of your meaning-making process.
