To put this recent, Billion Dollar Deal in context, Courvoisier sells a bit over a million cases in total, globally, every year. Johnnie Walker Scotch Whisky alone, sells over 22 million cases anually, in total. I've not done the research, for all the OTHER Scotch Whisky brands that massively outsell Courvoisier but just off the top of my head I know it's: Rather a lot. Chivas Regal, Ballantine's, Dewars, Black and White, White Horse, etc etc. Then, there's all the Malt Whiskies. What does this value the entire Scotch Whisky Industry at? #ScotchWhiskyTruths

Solid analysis here--reflecting what savvy distilleries executed (or began to execute) in the past couple of years. Premiumization isn't a quick-switch. It's a strategy that begins with consistency and reputation. It's an action list that requires a runway of time, repeated action and analysis, and a strong commitment to the timeline. The distillery-based, distillery-led process of building that foundation and structure is well-established, and the rewards are exceptional. I've had the opportunity to experience the process more than once, and it's an absolute thrill when the goals are hit.
