Even in classical systems, a Liouville state (which describes the probability distribution of particles in phase space) is generally not an eigenstate of both position measurement and the Liouvillian operator (which generates the time evolution).

C^3 matching conditions for anisotropic fluids The C^3 approach is an invariant formalism that utilizes the eigenvalues of the Riemann curvature tensor to match spacetimes across a specific matching surface. We apply this approach to match an anisotropic fluid with an exterior vacuum solution, including the case in which discontinuities appear on the matching surface. As a particular example, a class of analytic solutions, which describe the gravitational field of realistic neutron stars, is matched to the exterior Schwarzschild spacetime. https://lnkd.in/e9EKTct3

In this study, we explored the influence of the orbital angular momentum (OAM) of light on spin-split modes in a disordered anisotropic optical medium. By quantifying momentum domain entropy, we investigated the statistics of these spin-split modes, which emerge due to the spin-orbit interaction of light. Our findings reveal that the spot size has significantly greater influences on the momentum space entropy than the topological charge, highlighting the importance of beam configuration in photonic disordered environments. https://lnkd.in/gjbR_Qc9
