Five years ago the stunning 'D-Day Sculpture' was installed at the British Normandy Memorial - it was the first part of this major project. The work by David Williams-Ellis Sculpture sits at the centre of the Memorial overlooking Gold Beach in Ver-sur-Mer. In June the world will see, for the first time, the sculpture alongside the completed Memorial. #dday80 #sculpture #secondworldwar #normandy #britishnormandymemorial #WW2 #anniversary

On Friday, seven Normandy Veterans joined HRH The Duke of Gloucester, Chair of British Normandy Memorial Lord Richard Dannatt, Viscount Henry Montgomery and Chair of The Spirit of Normandy Trust Richard Palusinski. The official 'Bon Voyage' dinner was held at the prestigious The Cavalry and Guards Club on Piccadilly ahead of our Veterans leaving for D-Day 80 commemorations in Normandy this June. A charity auction raised more than £10,000 for the Trust and the British Normandy Memorial. #DDay80 #Normandy #Veterans #History #SecondWorldWar

Revealed ... the stunning Standing with Giants silhouettes at the British Normandy Memorial. 1475 representing the number of men serving under British Command who died on D-Day itself.
