Personally I think any business, or person, who thinks they are "okay" probably isn't, there's always more we can do to drive inclusion. The other day, on my way to church, I met an old man who was clearly hungry, My mother suggested I buy him some food, so we went to a nearby restaurant When the waiter handed the old man his meal in a foil container instead of a plate, I felt this was unfair and requested that it be served on a plate, just like for any other customer. This led to a discussion with the staff about equality and respect. This incident reminded me of the importance of equality in all aspects of life. Everyone deserves to be treated with dignity and respect, regardless of their circumstances. In the workplace, this principle is just as important. Imagine a team where everyone works hard, but only a few receive recognition and the best assignments. This lack of fairness can lead to resentment and demotivation. True equality means ensuring everyone gets the same opportunities and respect, whether it's in a restaurant, at work, or anywhere else. Creating environments where everyone feels valued and treated equally is very important. #Equality #Respect #Inclusion #WorkplaceCulture #Leadership

🌍 Embracing Diversity 🌈 Every year in May, European Diversity Month is celebrated to highlight the importance of diversity and inclusion in the workplace and in society. At Knorr-Bremse we believe in fostering an inclusive environment where everyone feels valued and respected. As we celebrate Diversity Month, we reaffirm our commitment to creating a workplace that embraces people from all walks of life. Our holistic diversity strategy underscores our commitment to equal opportunities and inclusion at all levels. 👉 But to move forward, you also need to focus. We’re currently concentrating more strongly on specific dimensions of diversity: As many employees will retire in the next five to ten years, the dimensions of #AgeAndGeneration as well as #Internationality require our special attention in 2024. In an engineering-driven environment, we also continue to focus on #GenderDiversity, which has been our focus dimension since 2022.
