Hey Friends of BC2M! Our Annual Student Summits are fast approaching and we want YOU to come join us at Summit as a volunteer! Our theme this year is Minds in Balance: Prioritizing Brain Health and Connections BC2M Volunteers will help set a positive tone and create an energetic environment for the event. You will be the memorable, smiling face of the event as guests and attendees arrive. The main role of the volunteer will be facilitating a small group of about 10-15 students through a breakout session (training provided). Some duties may include: Welcoming and greeting attendees Manning the registration table or activity table Putting together the name tags and/or swag bags Answering questions from attendees throughout the event Managing distractions (doors opening and closing) Supporting the BC2M staff and vendors Join us at one of our 6 of our summits! (You can also earn up to 8 volunteering hours.) The Senior Manager of California will play a vital role in the growth and success of the organization as we continue to grow in the State and will report directly to the BC2M Senior Program Director. This is a full time and exempt position. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: California Strategy * In partnership with senior management and in alignment with BC2Ms strategic plan, develop BC2Ms California strategy to expand our reach and impact across the State. * Set recruitment strategy, including geographic priorities and strategic approaches to engaging at the city, district, county, and state levels * Lead California team to achieve growth and statewide impact goals * Utilize data to address priorities of need, drive student impact, tailor program resources and report to funders/partners * Manage the budget for regional events and initiatives * Work with senior management and other peers to develop programmatic strategy and plan for its execution within the programmatic team QUALIFICATIONS * Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience * 7 years of work experience in related fields * Experience working with schools, District, and/or other educational systems * Experience managing educational or other partnerships * Exceptional people manager, with 2 years management experience and strength in coaching and empowering individuals and teams * Exceptional relationship manager who can recruit a diverse collection of individuals, schools, foundations, and organizations to this cause * Confident speaking in front of groups with experience leading workshops and/or presenting at conferences * Knowledge of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion best practices and experience with culturally competent education * Prior knowledge or passion to learn about the field of youth mental health * Knowledge of the landscape of mental health within California education systems * Knowledge of California mental health funding channels (desirable) * Experience leading teams through change * Exceptional program and project management skills, including strong organization and task prioritization * Comfort using data to inform decision-making * This role will be responsible for accounts located throughout Southern California, therefore, access to a car to visit schools across the region is preferred. * Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends * Ability to travel to events in California and US as needed Apply Today: https://lnkd.in/ge6fcTsS

Northern California Regional Manager, BC2M High School BC2M is seeking a highly motivated individual to oversee the growth of the initiative in Northern California. This is a full time and exempt position. Estimated start date: July 1, 2024. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: ● Support 50 existing BC2M clubs across Northern California. ● Recruit additional BC2M HS Clubs for Fall 2024. ● Nurture existing community partners and identify additional stakeholders that can further support the Program in the region. ● Present on the BC2M High School Program in various settings, including classrooms, school districts, and with potential community partners. ● Regularly communicate with the BC2M leadership team to track progress and set goals for the region. ● Collaborate with the BC2M team to create programmatic content and resources ● Communicate directly with teens and high school staff to collect data points related to program quality and impact. ● Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of the Annual Northern California BC2M HS Summit ● Ability to work with teens and school staff on a regular basis. ● Ability to travel to schools and meetings across the state. ● Oversee and support the California Teen Advisory Board. Additional Functions: ● Assist BC2M HQ staff with various program roles as needed. ● Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends Minimum qualifications and requirements: ● Bachelor’s degree in related field ● 4 years of experience with youth required. ● Highly skilled at public speaking ● Three professional references ● Valid driver's license and access to a car.
