Ahh. . ctober. A lot of people are diving into pumpkin-spice whatever's, prepping Halloween, or celebrating fall. But for me? October marks the beginning of a different kind of project: a long, thoughtful look back at the year that’s almost over. You see, I think a lot of us rush through our New Year goal-setting (and end-of-year reviews) in a frantic December scramble. And, let's be honest, that’s probably why our goals and resolutions can feel a bit off or half-baked. For me, I start reflecting now. I begin looking 🔎 at the big themes that have defined the year. Sure, I’ve set plenty of goals and measures, but are they still important? Have they shifted? October is the time to step back and take stock—thinking bigger as I gear up for the end of the year. With that bird's-eye view, I can fine-tune my focus for what’s next. How do you approach the end-of-year reflection? #AlwaysBeLearning #AlwaysBeExamining #NotAlwaysTheSameThings (PS, image taken with some pictures of me in the studio and only a little shouting at Dall-E. . .)

🌃Citylife last week... 🌲forest this week for a discovery day. I'm in Thetford Forest after spending yesterday running a Discovery Day with a new client. These days are important when it comes to me working on any aspect of your business, whether that be business management or marketing management. For marketing clients, they allow me to understand your business, the drivers and the goals you want to achieve with your business. We also look at: ⭐What makes you unique ⭐ Your competition ⭐What services you offer and how (and what you don't!) ⭐Your ideal client ⭐The outcomes of choosing you as an IT partner for them ⭐Tone of Voice ⭐ Visual Identity Guidelines ⭐ Core Topics To name just some elements of the process. We also talked about camels 🐪 a lot yesterday, along with turtles 🐢, lions 🦁and monkeys 🐒. If you know you know! All of this helps set the foundations for any marketing activities going forward to ensure we're talking about the right things to the right people. Now it's time to put the hard work (from the clients) into a plan and get started! #marketingmanager #businessmanager #managedservices

I bring a robust background in PR & communications, coupled with a steadfast dedication to personal and professional growth, as evidenced by my current academic pursuits. I am a Senior Associate Member at PRCA Malaysia.
Thank you! Finally someone said it! 😆 Yes, whenever anyone say ‘that’s a wrap!’, I cringe. Mainly because its far from a wrap for PR officers. This is precisely why I make sure my team prepares almost everything in advance. Have that email to media drafted, ready to be sent out with event photos. Have all final documents in one folder, in cloud or attached together with that media email. Have all social media captions drafted and scheduled, ready for you to edit and attach photos. Have a QR code for event docs for media to access, at media registration table. With that being said, of course, there are still tons to do post event. To me, our ‘wrap’ is after we see that first media exposure. Then there’s that PR report we have to prepare.. 😅

Immediately after every launch event, as the team is high-fiving each other and figuring out where the closest happy hour is…there is a PR person somewhere in a corner, hunched over their laptop, selecting photos to send to media, editing b-roll, posting to social or following up with media attendees, harnessing the last gasp of timeliness, still hours away from the finish line…

Managing Director & Founder of Quibble | Digital PR & Content Marketing Specialist | Brighton SEO Speaker & Speaker Mentor
It’s my favourite time of year! It’s September, which means Halloween and C*******s are just around the corner. These are both two of my favourite holidays! Also, at this time of year, I like to look back on what we’ve achieved this year, and what memories I’ve made. It fills me with so many positive vibes, which is what I thrive off. September is usually when business at Quibble ramps up - it’s a trend we’ve witnessed literally since the business started. So, we’re excited to see what projects people want to start and how we can help them. Plus, we’ve got some exciting projects on ourselves. We’re revamping our website, redecorating the office and we’re exhibiting The Business Show - Where I’ll also be talking. It’s gonna be heavy, but I’m excited to see what the next few months look like. ❓ What do the next few months look like for you? ❓What are you excited about? #September #Summer #Autumn #Planning #Business #Events #Marketing

I believe my tallest friend and business partner Nick Knapper is correct in his assumption that Cayla Henderson and I were the first people to successfully make s'mores on a paddle board. I welcome any evidence contrary to this claim. Also welcome to LinkedIn Cayla Henderson we're happy to have ya here #contentmarketing #contentcreation #cobranding
It's a big claim, but I am thinking we (VATIV) were the first to ever make s'mores on a Paddleboard? Made possible by ISLE 's new innovative link system and TerraFlame 's unique & portable "S'mores" fire! Here's a social cut from the shoot.

Know your audience. I spotted this on a walk along the seafront on holiday. No fancy graphics, no gimmicks—just a list of foods that kids like. I have no idea if these were cakes, ice cream flavours or what they referred to, the point is, they got my and my kids’ attention. I love seafront signage like this and reminded how important it is to really know your audience. This sign didn’t need to be complicated because it spoke directly to its target market—hungry kids (and by extension, their parents). The lesson? When you know your audience, you don't need to shout. You just need to say the right things. This is exactly what market research is all about—understanding your customers so well that you can connect with them effortlessly.
