In patients with inconclusive echo views, transesophageal echo (tee) is often ordered to evaluate for bicuspid valve. Cardia MRI is able confirm or deny the diagnosis without the need for the invasive procedure or sedation. Here is a nice example of bicuspid vale by cardiac mri requested due to inconclusive echo. For those that don’t know, a TEE probe is a probe they put in the mouth that is able to look at the heart, the probe is roughly the size of a garden hose 😅. #achd

MicroTAS 2023 will be starting on Sunday (15 Oct) in Katowice, Poland. Visit my poster for more information: T097.c Tuesday 17 Oct 15.10-17.10 We present a novel method for global haemostasis and blood function measurement using microfluidics and robotic imaging. We monitor fluidic properties of blood after stimulation with thrombin. We capture migration ratio and velocity dynamics in 120 individual capillaries with Raspberry Pi. We investigate viscosity variations during haemostasis activation. Our open-source system offers a cost-effective platform for high-throughput blood analysis, enhancing understanding of cardiovascular health. #microtas #microfluidic #coagulation #RaspberryPi #viscosity #haemostasis
