Delighted to be a guest at the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change conference on The Future of Britain. After last week it now feels there is one - and a certain someone is understandably very pleased about it. Astounding line up of speakers to discuss the role of AI in, well, everything. The scale of what is coming is almost incomprehensible. Engage now!
The AI & Emerging Tech Policy Caucus at the Harvard Kennedy School was delighted to host a fascinating discussion with Professor Bruce Schneier and Amir Ghavi on #AI Governance: #Corporate Accountability and the Public Sector yesterday 📚.
Both Amir Ghavi and Professor Schneier’s insights are immensely relevant in the age of AI, especially as the interplay between corporate influence and public policy becomes more critical to navigate. As AI technologies continue to evolve at a rapid pace, the discourse around ethical frameworks and regulatory measures becomes not just relevant, but essential for sustaining democratic values and societal well-being. Our lively and intimate conversation was guided by pivotal questions ⁉:
- What can we learn from the regulation of past technological innovations to guide AI regulation (such as automobile, airplane and broadcast industries)?
- Is it too early to regulate foundation models? Who should be in charge?
- Who is liable in case of copyright infringements? How should the liability regime change with GenAI?
A heartfelt thanks to Professor Bruce Schneier and Amir Ghavi for taking time out of their busy schedules to speak to us. Their collective contributions have set a high standard for open, informed dialogues that bridge academia, industry, and policy, paving the way for more informed governance of AI.
Thank you so much to Giulia N., Sacha Alanoca, and Alvaro A. Morales for their indispensable support during the event. What a great way to end a wonderful year! ❤️ 💕

The AI landscape is constantly evolving. Leaders must lean in with "their hands on the wheel" to make sure there are the right processes and technology in place. Great conversation between Sara Vaezy and Shane Thielman, FACHE, CHCIO at the HealthLeaders AI NOW summit.
#GenerativeAI continues to trigger fundamental shifts and strategic decisions across industries. A recent report from our Goldman Sachs Investment Banking team notes that Generative AI’s greatest potential currently lies in the productivity gains this technology will drive across functions and sectors – with an estimated total value creation that could surpass $3 trillion over the next decade. Public market investors are increasingly directing their attention to core impact areas like enhanced marketing and targeted advertising, recognizing the growth potential within these fields.
