Africa: we can
Ousman Touray, a young man from Gambia, turned down an offer of a scholarship to Canada, instead opting to take a master’s degree in development studies in Rwanda. Listen to him articulate reasons Africa should change what we teach at school to match our needs in this video. Despite the option to study abroad, his dedication lies in better understanding the African problem and offering solutions to the African people while staying on the continent and learning within the system. Staying on the continent and learning within the system would be a better way for him to achieve that. Intelligent, forward-thinking, innovative with a strong sense of confidence. Proud to see the youth taking a stand. #TATHOTS #Education #Africa

A very wise summary by a smart solutions driven youth leader, on why countries, politicians & leaders must upskill their youth & provide sustainable infrastructure. Before importing what is already available within your country, consider locally produced produce. Upskill and use the resources within your own borders.

The youth is hungry for productivity and sustainability in Africa, but it's frustrating when leaders are not showing commitment to that course. We need a more robust system that will enforce accountability between decision makers and the people. If we want to trade among countries effectively, we need to have a clear plan and commit to it. If a process is not yielding result, we need to quickly find innovative approaches that will give us the result! If there is a will, there is a way!!!! Many youth have creative ideas on how to tackle a number of our challenges. Having a feedback system where leaders will listen and work with them can be a game changer!!!!! #africa
