We are hours away from Disruption in Austin! Our workplaces need to be disrupted. In 2019, I felt like leaders were starting to be more open-minded in how they could embrace a People-Centered approach to the workplace ecosystem. Org Capability = PEOPLE Process Systems The pandemic further shifted the conversation. Now, that feels like a fleeting dream. It feels like conversations with leaders have gone back to my earlier HR career days when Org Capability = Process Systems. Our hope is that tomorrow we will ignite a dialogue of hope and change that creates positive ripple effects back into our workplaces. Attendees in fourteen different ways will hear how they can reinforce the PEOPLE side of the Org Capability strategy at work. Disruptive Difference-Makers Unite! #disrupthraustin #innovation #disrupthr
🤔 You may think this is a typo - or poor grammar. 🙃 NOPE! It's a truth for all of us who have worked diligently for 5 months to put together a spectacular event. ⚡ Our #1 goal is to help Austin professionals learn and grow, as well as lighten up and enjoy an evening of networking with peers. 🌠 Add to that our support of Love Justice International , with our proceeds benefitting them and the work they do in preventing human trafficking - and we feel proud and honored to be doing good, doing good. So why the 1 DAYS? Because quite frankly - this is what it feels like for us - days in one day - the day before. Not sure whether to relax 🏖 (which I encourage the team to do - because they are so amazing, they've already taken care of EVERYTHING!), or check that list 10 more times. 📒 (nah) We really want you to join us. 😍 Come join the other 200 Austin professionals for a great afternoon/evening. There's still general admission tickets that will get you an evening of all of the above for less than what it costs to have dinner and drinks. 🤑 And we've got you covered on that! 😋 Oh, did I mention the free parking! 😀 🚗 Here's where you get your ticket. 🎟 We can't wait to see you there! https://lnkd.in/gguDEmTF 📅 When? Monday, May 1, 2024 🕔 4:00 - 8:30 🏢 Where? PBS 6101 Highland Campus Building 3000 ⁉ Why? Because YOU ARE SO WORTH IT!

BIA IN THE NEWS: The The Wall Street Journal has identified a dozen lawsuits that are targeting programs providing financial support, business opportunities or other services to small businesses owned by entrepreneurs who are Black, Latino or otherwise considered disadvantaged. “We have support organizations that are wondering if they need to scrub the word Black from their websites, or people of color, or rethink how they describe their work.” - Kelly Burton, PhD, CEO of BIA If you are concerned that legal litigation will serve as the death knell to your organization, we recommend undergoing extensive risk mitigation. Click here for more information and resources! --> https://lnkd.in/g6mepb_e Our members are doing the WORK to close the racial wealth gap by helping Black entrepreneurs launch and grow their businesses. They now have to be concerned about the legal risk of running racial equity programs to drive Black wealth creation? This is NOT ok!
